Please correct my errors, as far as I can tell, from our 2012 list of 46 players inc rookies, we have had 15 players depart:

Moloney, Brent

Green, Brad

Rivers, Jared

Martin, Stefan

Morton, Cale

Gysberts, Jordan

Matthew Bate,

Ricky Petterd,

Jamie Bennell,

Liam Jurrah

Lucas Cook

Jai Sheahan,

Leigh Williams

Kelvin Lawrence

Clint Bartram

and so far we have 8 new players:

Pederson

Dawes

Rodan

Gillies

Byrnes

Hogan

Viney

Barry

With the following picks in the ND

NAB AFL Draft order as at October 26, 2012

4. Melbourne (GWS compensation - Tom Scully)

49. Melbourne (FA compensation - net result for Brent Moloney and Jared Rivers)

53. Melbourne

70. Melbourne

73. Melbourne

74. Melbourne

88. Melbourne

106. Melbourne

124. Melbourne

Does this mean we have to use all 7 of these picks, or 6 plus 1 in the PSD in order to get back to a total of 46? What is the story with the rookie list, am I correct in saying that only Magner and Couch are listed as rookies?

REMAINING LIST (31)

40 Jamar, Mark

As far as I believe the list size goes down to 44 from 46

yes magner and couch are our only rookies, so we will add two to that list in rookie draft I think

and hogan is not counted yet (2014)

so that is six in (four listed and two rookie)

pick 4, 49, 53, and either 70 or 3PSD

and two in rookie draft.

I'd be happy to have 4,49 and 53 used and then am hoping we are good enough to get someone in the PSD that is good value for us. Wish Jacobs was interested in coming to us, as via the PSD, he would have been a great pick up!

dont think he would have a choice if we chose to pick him, (just as tippett will have no choice to go to Gold coast if they pick him)

At the end most of the teams use pre-season draft to draft recycled players,

but I think clubs allowed a third and final ist lodgement after the draft,

so they have the choice of drafting a player in psd

Players with a referred choice for a club usually nominate for pre-season draft,

so there chances are higher on getting picked by their club of choice.

eg: i think we delisted Nathan Carroll in the third list lodgememnt in my memory.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
