FAREWELL CALE MORTON

Yes. Go Cale! Run.... Run...

And nobody cares

Steady up boys. On Trade Week Radio they didn't say Cale was seeking a trade. Terry Wallace and Barrett said he should seek a trade because he is going nowhere at MFC.

"We are on a straight line and we will not deviate . . . if you don't want to be on that straight line go to Carlton, go wherever"

Although maybe that's probably not the best quote to use.

It's good to spell it out though.

And vice versa, MFC is going nowhere with Cale Morton type players at the club.

I was going by a facebook page, and stated as such...

Apparently Morts has told MFC he wants a trade even thought contracted.

Wishful thinking by him I would think, but here's hoping...

Looking for a proper source now (other than facebook)

stuie, can you please change your display name to Tweek? Every time you post I can't help but think of Tweek from South Park.

Golly.. We get excited quickly dont we lol

I still hold some hope for Cale I reckon his position is in the forward line not the back line or as a tagger.

He can find space and that's important for a forward, he could be a 2 goal a game player but he will never be a defender.

Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere, but I heard the complete opposite; he'd been told in no uncertain terms where his game was lacking, and said he'd rather stay and work his guts out to revive his career than be traded.

Gotta love this time of year.

It is hard to know what to beleive this time of year - makes for interesting discussions

I heard Cale wanted out on SEN (I realise this is no solid source) also mentioned Sylvia wanted out........ The rumours of Cook and Gys wanting out have gone quiet!

Always a fun time of year!!!

who would want him????

maybe Sydney can turn him into a premiership player like his bro.

I'd rather keep Cale, as I doubt we'd get a worthwhile return for him, but I think he's still a chance to make it.

I think Neeld's style of coaching is exactly what he has always needed, but it'll be a while before we see any results.

I know many won't agree.

We'll see.

Koby Stevens for Cale Morton?

agreed, wasnt he drafted or play junior footy as a forward? anyone think there is hope for him to become a forward?

I think that's his spot and if he plays there and fails I guess that it.

I hear ya, I just can't see it.

Would love to be proved wrong

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
