Jesse White

Not getting a game behind Mumford, Goodes, Pyke, Roberts Thomson ...

so maybe a good get for Melbourne as a free agent in PSD.

Latest write up on Swans website:

With Seaby injured, Jesse White stood up as the Swans Reserves number one ruck option. Not only did White control the ruck across the ground, but he had a major impact when he drifted forward, finishing with six goals - the bulk of which came from open play. Kicked 6 goals for swannies reserves. Big tough and agile.

Thoughts?

Never liked him. To me he looks a bit like sellar. I don't mean to be offensive but he seems to be big and dumb. Few swannies mates are very happy to not see him playing for them at the moment.

Every year he gets bought up, but he is no good. And don't read into the performance of any of the Swans players in the reserves...that league is woefully bad.

EDIT: just remembered they now play in the new NEAFL, which is nowhere near as bad as the old ACT league they used to play in. Always remember hearing about some no-name Swan racking up 50 touches or kicking 10 in that league.

lol

We had a Jesse White thread last year too, you know, when he was good enough to be in the 25 for the Swans.

Where is he this year?

Seriously, where is that guy?

Is he on holidays?

lol...again.

Found the thread from 2011 - http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/28328-jesse-white/page__hl__white

And 2010! (with a bit of 2011) - http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/23203-the-jesse-white-thread/

I was in incredibly good form in that second thread.

Ironically, I was initially fawning over White, but then 'Pow! Right in the kisser!' did some good things.

I would send Petterd+Bate up there for him.

He would be looking for more opportunity.

White is a hack, there is a reason that an average ruckmen/forward in mumford plays before him.

I know you would, you started one of those threads I listed...

AND BATE IS AN UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT AND CANNOT BE TRADED.

(I sang that, so it isn't yelling, it is just singing with a low voice because I want it to register.)

(I sang that too...)

Is this serious? Mumford is a very good ruckman, maybe not a great forward but definitely one of the best ruckmen in the comp.

All over him like a rash you were. Trip down memory lane there, interestingly there's two guys in each of those threads who remind me of Jose.

He showed a lot of promise back in 2010. He was looking to be the next big thing. We had no tall forwards and a lot of us wanted to make a play for him.

We would be able to pick him up cheap now. But i don't want him now.

If he is only a good ruckmen and a poor forward, does that make him a great player? Cox can do both well, he is a great player. Mumford is a good ruckmen, i think we would be stretching to say he is amongst the leagues best.

I don't rate the guy, but he has asked to be traded from the Swans. Might be a better bet than Dawes.

Article.

Maybe an indication that the Swans have secured Tippett.

And if that domino falls, Lions will go for Moloney.

Certainly changes a few things. Pies won't now have upper hand.

Don't you love the circus

I may be repeating myself about White, can't remember but to me he lacks awareness, a bit of a poor mans Kosi and that can't be good.

Keep in mind we're After a 2nd forward

White is big and strong, and we need another tall forward to create contests. White at a trade pick 65+ or one of those swap Petterd to Swans for White and their pick 63 ish.

Every year he gets bought up, but he is no good. And don't read into the performance of any of the Swans players in the reserves...that league is woefully bad.

Makes their performance this year all the more remarkable.

This is the order of KPF I'd like us to target and what I'd be willing to give up for each of them.

1. Chris Dawes (Collingwood) trade for Pick 20

2. Scott Gumbleton (Essendon) trade for Jordan Gysberts

3. Mitch Brown (Geelong) trade for Jordan Gysberts

4. Jesse White (Sydney) trade for 4th round draft pick.

5. Khan Haretuku (Frankston) Pick 3 in PSD.

6. Mason Shaw (South Fremantle) take a punt at Pick 4 in National Draft.

7. Cameron Pedersen (North Melbourne) trade for 4th round draft pick.

So White comes in at about half way for me. Certainly wouldn't be against it if we luck out with Dawes and Gumbleton.

Edit: Added Brown.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
