No, Robert. Within 11 games I do not expect him to scythe the ball through a network of defenders primed to apprehend even the slightest off-target kick. But nor do I expect him to miss wide open targets on the wing so badly that the ball bobbles out of bounds.

McDonald's ability to close down an attacking tall, his slick closing speed, his long reach, and his agility are a big plus, but his disposal has enormous room for improvement.

And I'm sure it will Tony, he has the desire and the will to succeed at this level. His "rush of blood moments" will diminish over time and he will be more focused after he gets a few more games/seasons under his belt.

Loved the way he ran Patton into the ground. Tommy clearly has fantastic endurance and is known as a good trainer. He blew poor Jonno up like a balloon - so much so he needed to be subbed quite early.

Tom's kicking earlier this year, especially at the start of games, was scary bad. His kicking has improved markedly apart from the occasional brain fade. He is not the only player with questionable kicking skills to show considerable improvement over the first half of the year. Even the Russian kicked straight on Sunday.
