Neeld made menton of this on SEN and said he will be talking to the players concerned on Monday, so I guess he wasn't impressed either.

yeah I heard this as well. I could imagine Mark sitting Jack and Stef down and say so boys what was so fuuny that you were laughing when the team is getting thrashed. I know they are allowed to have a laugh but it didnt look great at that point of the game.

2 weeks in a row is downright pathetic. Watts in particular can keep laughing and giggling like a private school girl while languishing in the two's for the rest of his career for all I care at the moment. Until he gets some c**t in him I don't want to see him back in the side. And that includes showing that the team getting belted every week hurts even if you're not on the field.

I think as a group of players this lot are the most disappointing because it just doesn't seem to worry them.

On mmm tonight they were asking the question, why are the Melbourne players still out on the ground chatting with the opposition well after the game finished, well why we're they. I saw Stef Martin and Jack Watts walking along together at half time sharing a joke and all smiles; we had just been humiliated yet again by the Hawks in the second quarter but it didn't seem to matter to them.

The supporters care, the coaches care, but the players don't seem to. Are our players professional; not on your life.

The really funny part is they got paid the same as Hawthorn!

This can be a selling point to attract players to the club.

You don't have to be a top player, run too hard or perform consistently to get Buddy , Mitchell , Rioli , Hodge money with us.

Was highlighted by Matthew Lloyd on the Sunday Footy Show and it was agreed it wasn't a great look - apparently Mark Neeld saw the footage and will 'talk' to those involved.

He also said that Melbourne doesn't have any 'profile' or 'respect' from any other club in the AFL and this was further evidence of the mindset of the players.

Wasn't Taylor Walker seen having a beer at a mate's game last year? I remember the comments around that incident at the time were that 'he wasn't happy' and 'will be traded' at season's end.....

Lloyd came from a club that had beaten us up for the last 30 years , little wonder they don't respect us.

Went down the bakery to get some bread this morning and the French guy that runs the show said to me, you can't be happy with your team at the moment especially the way those guys were behaving during the match, he was referring to Watts and Martin. I was gobsmacked I didn't think he knew anything about football let alone watched it, the only reason he knew I followed Melbourne was one of the girls that works there is a mad Melbourne supporter as well and we always have a chat about it.

It just shows that we aren't the only people that noticed and it certainly made the players concerned look pretty amateurish.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
