Yet another thread carpet-bombed by the 'concern troll' Dr Who.

Moderators? Enough please.

Back on topic folks ... Patrick Dangerfield.

You are right about 1 thing we do represent "sunshine" - "kids" love sunshine compared to your "darkness" - "kids" love positive feed back compared to constant Negativity - "kids" love playing with their mates in-front of big overenthusiastic crowds - "kids" in 2012 hold the power in AFL football 2012.

Some clubs have recognised this some clubs the "culture" is stuck in another era.

PS "kids" love the Internet - oh and they can read just FYI - but you go ahead and get rid of your ray of sunshine. Sorry we choose to speak a different language to our "kids" - the glass is half full & the "sun" will shine on the MCG again because we are prepared to invest in our "kids & their mates"

Is that you Cale?

Best outcome = Viney, Stringer, Dangerfield and First 17 Yr old

Worst outcome = Viney + 2 others of those

The only players I could see being mooted as a make weight in a deal with Adelaide would be ... Sylvia, Moloney, Petterd and Tapscott.

I'd prefer to just deal in picks but we may have to let one of those guys go to get Danger to the Dees.

Pick 14 and Sylvia?

Straight for pick 5?

Edited by Range Rover

If there is even a wiff that he would look at coming back to Victoria then we must have a serious crack.

As an aside, does anyone else see the irony in Dr Who having a crack at our 'old culture' whilst adopting a pseudynom form a 1960's BBC sci-fi character. What a hip cat! Tells me he is a troll, just not a clever one.

Careful diesel, you sound like a "non-footy person" with that kind of talk.

Pick 14 and Sylvia sounds pretty hefty for Danger, but probably realistic.

Petterd for Dangerfield?

Where the hell do I sign?!

Dear Dr Who,

It appears you are another person who believes your generation (whichever one it is) has a monopoly on understanding the current day correctly. You are probaly under 30 and think "if only all those old people would stop stuffing up the world - look at the mistakes they made..." You are no more right in your views than the next person but seem to have taken some sort of intelligence high ground because of some preconcieved opinion about your own intelligence. Oscar Wilde once wrote "the problem with youth is it is wasted on the young".

All these "old people" and "Brighton people" you so quickly dismiss, along with what you consider their opinions to be, demonstrates your narrow-minded bigotry toward your fellow Dees supporters.

Youth, or new thinking, or new methods are never THE answer but can often be part of AN answer.

BTW - I still have no idea what your first post had to do with Dangerfield!!

Kid would be scared to play at the MCG in-front of 20,000-30,000 old people most of them screaming & bagging your team mates - it would be like playing in a cemetery.

Then after the game you have to listen to these old "brighton" gits with no idea about football, no idea what footy is like today - Yeah a wake at the OAP bowls club.

Speak for yourself only, good doctor

I'd swap for pick 5 in a heartbeat.

I think Dr Fraud's time on planet Demonland is drawing to a close

Maybe he should take his defective non-commissioned Tardis (very non-circa 2012) to Big Footy where he can proselytize to the kiddies

Dont think the crows will let him go . If we can get him i would throw our 1st pick to them as we have no time to wait for kids now. Viney and dangerfield would be a big + for the MFC in the middle of the ground. My vote is yes go for it.

Unfortunately our first pick will be used on Viney. Cant trade it when we have already used it in the FS bidding process

Intersting how the good Dr & Jos'e always seem to chat on the same thread at the same time....it is becoming a tad tiresome...

You really are an idiot if you can't tell that I am not him.

& I avoid him like the bloody plague.

But the good Dr. certainly doesn't avoid you. So it doesn't really matter who leads.

Only way to deal with the good Dr's mental musing is to ignore him, and in time he'll find another forum to indulge him for a while.

Whatever happened to e25, Lutz & Artie Bucco?

I have no doubts Artie is still here under another guise.

Whatever happened to e25, Lutz & Artie Bucco?

e25 has been revealed to go by another name. I cannot for the life of me remember who it is. Striker maybe?

What ever happened to Yze Magic?

e25 has another new name and is trialling a new style, it works out sometimes. Artie would be here somewhere..

YM's gone, we would know if he was back.

Don't think it's Striker.

My point was they were all the same person, seems like Dr. Who is just another alias of e25/lutz/artie.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
