Mark Jamar

Featured Replies

good to hear Mark Jamar on AFL Gameplan. he said he was very confident at staying with melbourne.

Very keen to stay. Well spoken as well. Impressed me.

Yes, I'm not sure where the bad rap for Mark Jamar is coming from - he's been rucking well, is in the leadership group (contrary to Caro's article), performed well of the Game Plan and strongly indicated he wants to sign with the club.

Funny how Caro in the paper today had him dumped from the Leadership Group he is in for the first time...

I guess the truth either wasn't easy to find, or didn't flow into the theme of "Dees ritualistically kill all those older than 25..."

Another masterpiece from Caro, hard to work out where Jamar is at but if he wants to stay then ill welcome it

Three year deal!!!

Awesome news!!! He's the most important player we have >25 yo I reckon.

Beamer will stay for sure.

Moloney will definitely resign also. Its amazing how uplifting a win can be

Great news for all demon fans i think 3 years is a bit rich maybe 2 would be better but im sure that's what Mark would have said he want's to stay at the club.

We can use him as a ruck coach if he cant hold his form for another 3 years. Win Win

Beamer will stay for sure.

exactly. His best mate, Beamer, a certainty now.

Bloody brilliant.exceptional actually . Lets see others follow suit in belief of our impending success. Might even cause players seeking new homes to cast a glance our way ;)

That's really great news!

Yes Old Now lets [censored] the Pies YEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Fantastic. Was an absolutely required player and great to have the deal done. Would assume his deal would also likely be heavily back ended so that when he is eligible for veterans status only half of his salary has to be in the cap.

Beamer will sign also.

It has been a happy few days for us for once this season!!!

Couldn't have put it better than the above.Exceptional news with Gawn hopefully over the injuries, a great future ahead.Needed his experience and wisdom.Need to keep him in the leadership group as well .

Need now a small forward, and two fast running midfielders and we are made for a sound rewarding future IMO.And maybe a CHF like a Cloke would be handy.

Timing couldn't have been better with the Queen's Birthday game coming up... will give the team a real lift going into that game.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
