Fickle Melbourne supporters..... Our supporters epitomize our playing group

Posted

Where have all the negative posts gone, the obvious is they are trying something new the vacuum or whatver Viney calls it when kicking out from back. But lets just change this thread from gameday to f%#kin whinge.

Any chance of looking at the positives, love the look of Blease, Mcdonald looks all right, also like Jetta he has a hardness about him and just needs some consistent game time into him, Tappy looks better on forward line.

Some of you need to review tapes of West Coast last season

Hardly, we might have a few goal lead now bur our general attitude and effort is far behind that of GC. Much more exciting future for GC than this mob.

Another positive. Gary Ablett is having little impact on the game so far. Bartram is playing well.

Also, GB&U Preview

The Ugly

Scully - heart clearly not in it

Hmm, not quite accurate at this point of the game - playing really well

Scully, Morton small bodies / hardness contrast - 2:30 left in q3...scully works hard to pin a great tackle and the ball spills, morton then standing next to a man extends his arms toward a stationary man and his tackle is broken

HARDNESS IS EXPECTED - being skinny is no excuse

This.

Morton's defensive non-effort in the goal square a shocker.

OTOH Blease is, as has been said, a jet.

You are a glass half empty type aren't you!

Highlight for me is Blease.........he could be a gem!

The thought of him and Grimes patrolling half back next year is exciting!

Umpiring deplorable!

Subbed, hit on the arm - was spotted with it in a sling. Either his wrist or shoulder, hasn't been anything said since.

Richo just said it was in a sling as precaution and his season was probably over as Dees wont bother risking him in the last game

Not at all, generally have been optimistic about the team but it's been a long year and my patience is waning.

I have liked bleases game, would live watts to hit some form

This is a joke!

Scully is either gone or not up to being a number 1 draft pick!

Give me David Swallow every day of the week!

21k there, wow

Really?? I was honestly expecting less than 15k, perhaps even closer to 10k the way we've been playing. How many GC supporters?

Virtually none bar the cheer squad according to AW

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
