Amaretto Di Saronno neat or in anything has health benefits. When I first took my wife to dinner, I brought some to the restaurant  in an old paper bag. She should have seen the writing on the wall back then. And yet , we've been married all but 32 years. Go figure !!

That's what I need in my life. An alcoholic wife or one who puts up with one.

There are some on Demonland, who fail to understand the beauty and tranquility of this thread, let alone the sage advice given and knowedge gained by being a reader of it.

To that end, I have decided to appease the masses and throw in a football reference in my posts on here, whenever I remember to.

Also, being the New Year I have vowed to personally improve as a human being and to that end, I am now adding honey to my banana smoothies and I know that MANY PLAYERS IN THE AFL, also enjoy banana smoothies.

(Note the footy reference).

Was most concerned there for a moment Red :)

Have no concern, this thread is like a Premiership, it just keeps on giving.

I can only imagine corn on the cob and carrots are next to get banned, not to mention melons for men.

Well even I'm surprised that the first customer for my marriage counselling business would be Jesus!

I hear he loves a good oyster Kilpatrick though. At least he has some taste.

Pineapples are fine if they're not inserted in the wrong orifice.

Nice one rough end!

DC prefers dried out fruit.

Beyond ripe.

Each to his own.

I like a nice smooth ripe fig.

More than a mouthful is a waste.

Would you be quite a regular golfer Biff? I am but I'm having trouble currently with L.O.F.T.  It's holding me back.

My vice is white peaches, but there are also figs, apricots, apples, oranges and mandarins in my highly un-Islamic garden.

Do I have to bring a wife with me or do you supply one?

I leave the county and the place goes to rack, ruin and ribald

very nice r&b

and having a mandarin in your garden would come in handy when you wanted to have a political debate with someone

The Shiek has obviously given butternut pumpkins the green light!

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
