Dewalt ryobi or makita need to make a battery version blender :)

Big night for the Demons.

Essendon's big win against GWS means we automatically move up one place on the 2013 NAB Cup ladder.

Onward and upward Dees!!!

Toby Greene should be asking for a million bucks a year.

Somebody else got to it first.

Andrew Walker's mark last night should have been penalised for the two hands planted firmly in his opponent's back.

Agreed, but they have been told to pay them, as they are spectacular and rare these days, as players are told not to kick to contests.

???

Obviously the kid whose going to run out with the team this afternoon has been brought up exclusively on a diet of bananas.

Jeremy Howe doesn't do it.

Jeremy Howe doesn't do it.

He does, but they are still rare.

One of those kids was my grandson and I'm offering a free banana to anyone who locates a clear photograph of him leading the team out with Jack Grimes.

I almost convinced him that, as part of his mascot duties, he had to line up for the team in a back pocket on Stephen Milne and, modesty aside, I reckon he might have kept him down to less than three goals on the day.

Off to the GC next week and playing in the hottest part of the day. We are certainly getting no favours from the AFL. I would take the youngsters and give them another game and some travel experience.

I see all the new recruits get presented with their "Blazers" on the 23rd March.

Wonder if they told them about the Blazers before they signed up?

Watched the first 3/4 of the game saturday so far. The umpiring was disgraceful. We showed some glimpses.

Hilarious post on another thread by Nutbean, showing the latest dunny brush and it's called, yes, you guessed it.

Obviously a lot of market research went into the most appropriate name for the brush used to clean toilets.

Heatwave finally over, training should be a bit easier now.

Hilarious post on another thread by Nutbean, showing the latest dunny brush and it's called, yes, you guessed it.

Obviously a lot of market research went into the most appropriate name for the brush used to clean toilets.

He didn't say how much it cost -- probably about 5 times the market price for similar products, and then will only work sporadically ...

Does that make this the 'No dunny brush' thread? :) Or the 'No need for a dunny brush' thread? :)

Heatwave finally over, training should be a bit easier now.

Just take a sweater and a fold up chair next time.

Some extra water is also a sensible idea .

aussies holding their own in third test - test finely balanced

I really do hope so dc

I guess holding your own is the least you can do. However, and I'd like a Burwood opinion on this, is holding another's even more noble?

only if you are a boarder at Scotch College....... (or a Romsey Boy Scout Pack Leader so I'm told)

  • POSTGAME: Essendon

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
