Sorry slowly is best I can imagine

Your imagination is too limited.

Sorry slowly is best I can imagine

How about 'faster to recover than BBO's liver' then?:blink:

Well after a terrific Saturday Sunday turned to mud.

I was barracking for the Pies yesterday and they got done by Adelaide singly the worst mob in the AFL by the length of the Flemington straight.

Oh well there is always next weekend.

They are a funny side the Crows. They have a lot of dumpy looking Collingwood 6 footers but get the job done.

Funny and Adelaide are not words I would normally put in the same sentence Redleg.

Dislike, Hate, rabble, agony, are a few that come to mind but funny no.

I am not a great fan of Adelaide, but something in me finds it hard to be upset when the Pies get done and may miss out on the finals as a result ...

Yes but the other side is Adelaide might make it.

No thank you

I'm with R & B on this OD. Pain for the filth is always enjoyable.

Not saying you are wrong Bbo but in this case I think it is the lesser of the two evils.

As I posted months ago after speaking to PJ, Roos has agreed to a third year as Coach.

The building blocks of our revival are being put in place.

On a side note to the Essendon drug fiasco, I heard that seven wheelchair athletes have been banned from the Commonwealth Games paralympics after they tested positive for WD40.

I heard that another 20 of them were banned because they rocked up to training legless.

Like yourself jazza, i am transmogrifying into a new and even better me.

Had my first gym session (properly called a workout I believe) today. My Personal Trainer escorted me to a treadmill to “warm up”, as she put it. That was quite painful as the side rails rubbed rather nastily on my manly mid section.

I was gasping and bawling after about 30 seconds so she decided I was warmed up enough. She also attempted to get me on a bike but that caused some very embarrassing personal issues.

Now it was time to “pump iron”. I was led to a machine called the “Pec Deck” – apparently used to develop one’s pectorals. Well my pectorals hang to my waist so I didn’t think further development was required. However, I allowed myself to be guided by the professional (as I have on many previous occasions)

An excruciating experience but I did my 5 “reps” (that’s gym talk) and called it a day.

I understand protein intake is advised after a workout so I purchased (and consumed) 2 meat pies on the way back to the manor.

I’ll have a day’s rest and be back into it on Thursday.

However, I feel I have made advances already.

Doesn't matter if both the Crows and the Pies make the finals - neither would get past week 2 at best.

If the Crows go O K we can always say the Demons beat them over there anyway.

are bananas per chance part of any new diet regime to accompany this frenzy of activity ?

No BB. At this point myself, my Doctor and the PT are still negotiating this concept of "diet". When the notion of cutting back red wine intake was mentioned I became quite agitated and we haven't really progressed.

rightly so

What can I add?

Going to the gym won't help you BBO- you need Pilates and hydrotherapy.

But I am sure you are only in there for visual stimulation as well as your feeble attempts at efficacy.

Very negative and unsupportive of you Biffen. I am sure that when I become a new man I'll be be a big hit at the Gat and you'll be in my shadow.

BTW. As to "visual stimulation", I was receiving quite a few meaningful glances today!!

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
