Hey WYL, without breaching the official secrets acts, I've being dying to know if rhino gets a guernsey?

I hope you don't do a LJ and go too early on this book :)

Might look silly if we win a flag a month after you release it

I can't make up my mind on a suitable title. Tossing up on

"Demons, Drugs and Drongos"

"Demons, Drugs and Drunks"

"Demons, Drugs and HornBags"

Edit: mysterious disappearing text

DC you are back!

Thought you must have died a broken heart as 2012 was such an awful disaster.

Nice you are still kicking.

I am yet to mention Demonland or it's contents, but i am actually writing the final sections of the first draft in the next few weeks, then it is "cut and paste" time.

So i may mention this madhouse in some form.

Yes i have thought about the elusive 13th

The topic will be left unfinished...

Which will come first, WYL's book or the end to the inquisition of alleged tanking. You be the judge....

The last photo of Adrian Anderson showed him going into the Commission meeting with three cups of coffee. I wonder if he had taken in banana smoothies, if he would still be the golden boy and not now looking for another gig.

The de-caffeinated half-caff with a twist of lemon was his downfall. That and lifting the 'lid off the Ark' in AD's absence ..

hopefully it is the inquisition because i will still be working well into 2013....

Noticed this morning that Mr Tinkler is in more trouble.

The ATO has moved to have the Newcastle Jets and Knights wound up.

Once again it shows that Private owners of sporting clubs do not work in Australia.

I bet Ben Buckley is glad he:

(a) did not take the ARL job and

(b ) is out of the Soccer game.

AFL must be smiling it will get them out of the news for a while.

I think his whole racing empire is stuffed as well. Thought it was placed into administration the other day.

Since heard he owes the stadium in Newcastle $600 000.

Thinks look bleak in the old steel town.

Poor Bloke was confusing his importance with his greed.

Couldn't happen to a better guy.

Watch Quarteflash perform their hit Harden my Heart and see the lovely Rindi Ross belt out the song, as well as a saxophone solo.

Watching Rage tonight I realised that sadly last week I passed away.

Oh well Cheerio all it's been a pleasure.

Don't want to trivialise the thread, but I had a banana smoothie for lunch. Wasn't great as it was more of a milkshake than a smoothie. I like my smoothies thick.

Mate, Wong's cafe is on Glenhuntly Rd in the heart of the Gaza Strip.

We should cross paths there during the "off"season.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front. They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
