No Deits.

My logic is sound but unfashionable.

Obama did nothing but toady to Israel and drop bombs and talk sweetly. Clinton was just as bad. The damage he and Albright did to Iraq, just for starters, was way beyond the pale.

Obama will be compared to the great fairy flosses of the world, full of sweet sound and broken promises ( Quantanimo, exiting Iraq and Afghanistan) while piling on the murders by Drones, not to mention his complicity in the rape of Libya and Syria.

Well Dieter I believe all US leaders believe in their right to attack their enemies off shore, wherever it may arise in the world. That gives them the right to ferment revolution or assination locally. And we have witnessed that throughout Central and South America and in Asia of course in the 20th century.

Obama is just following a well worn national tradition.

Just caught up on this thread, what the heck has happened to it?!

Have the Germans and Japanese taken over the banana industry?

Yes, we have no bananas today.

Clearly, plenty of nuts though.

Man, you wanna just talk peanuts by the sound of it. For a start, bananas are about just as boring as nuts. Wanna talk about the weather?

Okay, it's nice and cool in Melbourne at the moment, though we are heading for a 38 degree Tuesday, though the weather bureau keeps changing its mind about the exact figure.

Have you ever noticed that? Does it annoy you too?

That's akin to heresy on this thread, dieter. There are some things up with which we will not put, as your hero Winston once said.

Couldn't agree more. The bottom line is heresy is heresy. I can feel an immolation coming on.

List of interesting things seen transported on a scooter/bike around Saigon.

6m long steel bars

Bricks

A cage of live dogs

A fat sow

And this is the best so far

A double door fridge.

Look out Valentino Rossi.

Well when they do arrive wherever our erstwhile correspondents are geographically or temporally located please ensure there is no freckle on your banana.

That comment is far worse than anything Bbo has ever said.

Words cannot describe the horror of that attitude.

If I was a moderator you would be immediately banned till after the first game of 2017

It would be an interesting social experiment to ban this thread. Even say, a freeze on the thread for a month.

May cause an implosion of some iphones and lap taps around the country.

Rickshaw naturally.

The driver is fairly exhausted and we've only done a hundred or so clicks.

My whip needs replacing also.

No DC.

city folk are a bit sharp.

Ive gone "up river" for HR and surprise.

Recruitment is easy but the tough part is convincing DIAC that I need 43 chefs and 24 hair dressers.

The rickshaw driver is totally pist at me but all the swimming is giving his feet a well earned rest.

Hope you have the air con at full blast back in Borewood DC.

Must be hellishly uncomfortable in Melbourne.

Its gods way of punishing tennis players so all good.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom
