Demonland outranks MFC Official Site

The day has finally come. Demonland.com now outranks the MFC Official website. The ranking is worked out by their 1 month traffic rank. The 1 month rank is calculated using a combination of average daily visitors and pageviews over the past month. Demonland is now 14th (our highest ever rank) out of all the AFL sites and the highest of the fan sites. The list can be found below.

Congrats Andy and Jack. You've done an incredible job maintaining the upkeep of this site. It's been quite a journey and I can't thank you enough for your vision and dedication.

Chewy can now rest in peace.

There's no link between growing popularity and your post frequency.

I posted a year or two ago that the club should use this forum to communicate and educate it's most passionate fans. Since then we've had some input on here from Cam but I still maintain that the club trivializes us on here with their absence

We are arguably the most passionate of the passionate yet they are silent on here, I disagree with their low level of Demonland input

Congrats to the people who make this site possible though, well deserved

Pretty impressive.

In saying that, I can't help but notice that Superfooty isn't listed on that ranking. Surely that would be no.1, if not no.2?

I don't agree with that - I think the club should only get involved in rare circumstances.

Credit where credit is due. Everyone involved in this site, from the owner to the mods, have done a great job over the last 12 months.

Well done guys

Couldn't agree more! Demonland is my first port of call every day! Thanks to everyone involved, including contributors who give me my daily 'footy fix'.

good work everyone...shows we are the craziest fans! this is only going to give more exposure

Well done. I suppose a main catalyst of change would be the migrating of most 'ology members the past few years.

Great Job

I couldnt agree more with the clubs absense from here. Im a full supporter of the separation of powers - church ( us ) and state (mfc)

I acknowledge everyone is only wanting the same end result but the levels of passion and in particular the direction of some of the passion from this site leaves me scratching my head in disbelief - I can only imagine what the powers to be at the MFC must think.

Edit - well done on this site and its moderators

DemonsHQ are on here and just recently were encouraging people to complete a survey about online forum usage etc (maybe they were aware of these figures?). I would love to see them have more of a presence here where they could float ideas with a view to getting "true" supporter feedback and where questions and suggestions could be put directly to them... perhaps set up a dedicated forum here, where the Casey forum previously existed?

Yes, well done to all.

Very well run amd moderated.

It looks better than other forums and the vast population of Land ensures it health and it's ability to acquire some of the most challenged individuals - like any society.

And rpfc says - in the words of John Hodgman - You're Welcome.

Yes, well done upwards from here. Maybe its better I leave now. :)

These numbers are impressive.

Go Dees.

You can be assured that the Club monitors this site, but as for 'true' supporter feedback I am not entirely sure this is "rue" as some of the views on this board are not balanced opinion and can get quite emotive and destructive

But the Club does monitor and can see what is on the supporters minds, hence the output from the Club on the Club website and new initiatives appearing all the time

I am sure if you look at the topics poosted on this board they range from who should be delisted (which usually starts after the first NAB cup game), to why do the bumper stickers fade in sunlight, so the Club gets to see a lot of output both good and bad.

I would not go out of my way to advertise my presence if I was from the Club, as it lead to such things as Nathan Jones taking a break from all the vitriol he received on Twitter after the Collingwood game

And no I don't work for the club

Congrats to all & sundry however particular thanks also need to be given to W.J &Andy and a special mention to HT & R.R(miss my old sparring mate).

Congrats and thanks to all involved in the maintaining of this site. It is great for me living in NSW, as it's nice to be able to feel a little involved when I'm so far away.

Sites doing a great job but cant rate results that highly.

Where is Collingwood's websites.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
