Warnock, I'd say no, Frawley to take Hall. Garland and Rivs to swap on Murphy with the other taking Jones.

Who does McKenzie go to? Cooney who played well yesterday or to Griffen who seems to be in form?

Out: Morton, MacDonald (inj)

In: Dunn, Tapscott

I was happy with Bennell's game yesterday. Don't really understand the constant bagging of him

HE looks great when his got the ball he just needs to get it more.

Out- MacDonald

In- Tapscott

I wouldn't be making any more changes after 2 really strong wins in a row.

I'm liking the rebound we're getting from Strauss, Nicholson and Bennel. Also think people are being unfair on Morton, it's hard to come on as a sub and his form the previous 2-3 weeks had been good.

Not sure Tappy will come straight in after 4 or 5 weeks out.

Hopefully Blease may debut if Macdonald doesnt come up. We should have enough talls down back even if he misses.

IN: Batram, Blease

Out: Macdonald?, Morton

I think only one change and it will be for the injured MacDonald. The team will look like this

Strauss Frawley Garland

Nicholson Rivers Bennell

Scully Moloney Jones

Sylvia Watts Petterd

Jurrah Martin Green

Jamar Trengove McKenzie

Gysberts Morton Howe

Blease

Tapscott will come back via Casey could work out 2 games at Casey before we head to Darwin. Bail is only 1 week away so our bye week we might have a couple players back from injury playing for Casey

At some stage we need to give Sam Blease a taste of AFL football, he has been in the best 2 out of the past 3 games at Casey and playing the Bulldogs suites his style of game. When you consider that we will have Tapscott, Davey, Bail back in the next couple of weeks plus MacDonald, I just think this week is a perfect time to give Blease a run.

Out: Morton (still looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. His first kick yesterday went straight from the back pocket to a Tiger ON HIS OWN 50 m from goal... he does this week in week out. Maybe someone at the club should teach him the finer points of kicking, a few others could join the clinic)

Morton will play again this week and Tapscott won't due to coming off his first hamstring,a light run at Casey this week and an increased workload next week at Casey as we have the bye next week. He'll be ready to go after the bye.

There is no point rushing him back for 1 game before the bye, can't anyone else see this?

Emphatically agree.

I'd like to see Blease get a game soon, but no chance when coming off a bye at Casey.

only way warnock will get a game is if frawley is ever injured again.

This is too important of a game to bring a kid in like blease, id much rather play him against gc, port or richmond.

Frawley to Hall, Garland to Jones, Rivers to Giansiracusa

Jones to Griffen, McKenzie to Boyd, Bennell/Petterd to fwd tag R.Murphy

In: Tapscott, Evans (if mc inj)

Out: Morton, MacDonald (if inj)

Bull: will need a run with Casey to get match fit. Considering our bye two weeks at Casey will have him ready for Port.

Morton: he is soft and needs to go hard when required. He is also clearly down on confidence. However, I truly rate his skills, pace, and ability to read the play. I feel he is a waisted asset, who we need to play into form. Morton will always be predominantly a receiver. There is still a very important place in modern football for players like him..... except in modern football these sort of players MUST still put their body on the line when it is their turn. Morton did not get much of an opportunity last week. He will be an awesome player in a good team. I say he keeps his spot.

Blease: Can’t wait to see him, but at this point we have no one to drop for him. He must continue to wait for an injury or poor form of a current player.

For me:

No Change

If McDonald is injured, Warnock gets the nod.

Maybe, but would like to see Blease debut at the G, and Bailey has flagged his intention to bring Tapscott back through Casey.

Macdonald for another defender. Bartram is the logical choice against the Bulldogs small forward line.

I hate to say this because I prefer him in the team, but unfortunately Morton is the perfect sub, coz of his versatility, I think this may happen for a couple of weeks now if JMac comes up

Yes & no.

He is perfect for adapting the side due to the sub rule.

Doesn't mean he can't start on the field and shift from a tall to a running position, or vice versa to accomodate the change made.

Tapscott definitely needs a run in the 2s and we will only even see Warnock again in the event of an injury to Rivers, Frawley or Garland.

If MacDonaly misses due to injury then I'd be making 1 change. Dunn for MacDonald. Morton may need to play the MacDonald role on the medium forward

If Dunn plays what position does he play?

I cant see him playing up forward with Sylvia, Jurrah, Howe, Petterd, Green already in the team.

Bartram had an eye injury last week that arguably gives him some excuse for his poor disposal and decision-making.

I cant believe everyone let this one go through to the keeper !!!!!

We're into our third consecutive six day break so hopefully our fitness people are aware of the pitfalls of going in with the virtually the same team. One or two changes should be allowed for to cater for possible fatigue but I wouldn't be dropping Cale Morton who should at least be fresh.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
