What interesting ways we move in. We unite behind club & player as one. I'm sure we will be tested, but have we not been tested before.

What will be will be. But it will be oh such much better with TS playing in the red & the blue.

Go Dees

My dog just told me Scully was staying.

Does your Dog have a Twitter account? That should make it official.

Not quite a dog, but Mark Stevens is blabbing further about Scully going. To be fair, he seems to be responding to supporters who have similar concerns to us. If true, the club must know. And if it is true, then surely we wouldn't be playing him.

Terrible management, if anything it associates Tom with lying.

@JamesNanks all I will say is someone I trust, who is extremely well connected, says Scully 100 pc gone. Sad but seemingly true.

in my eyes the potential merger was a much bigger and testing issue than this current one

Well he should name the person. If someone is talking about Scully and saying he is gone he should name the person.

Well, if it means anything, Kevin Bacon himself told me Scully is staying.

Your dog licks itself and sniffs other dogs bottoms.....

(I'm tipping an illustrious media career awaits for your woofer - he is infinitely qualified)

Just tweeted to him

"Why don't you name the person Stevo? Pretty easy to spread nameless rumours, but then again it's your job!"

Reasonable question. I would say his job is to report on some news, like actually provide something of value rather than stoke the same fire. Step A: find something out. Step B: Get some proof.

This whole thing is so painful, precisely for this reason. Baseless rumours from nameless people. This whole saga is being carried out like school in july - no class!

If he has signed something and knows his intentions (which he surely does), then he should tell the club and pack his locker. Although, if he has then the press conference was self preservation.

All that we do know, is that someone is lying. Hope it's not Tom (I have faith btw).

i dont think this is jumping the gun at all but when we get our compo picks (probably 2 first rounders) we will probably be using them both next season because this years draft is terrible compared to next seasons draft apparently.

Tom Scully stated in his original press conference that he would tell the melbourne footy club that he has been approached. he also said that he, or his or his family have not agred/signed anything.

Dont question the guys integrity untill you have facts. End of story.

The media are full of you know what.

Depsite my post, I am not questioning his integrity at all. Full faith in what Tom has said previously, but this whole thing the AFL has created promotes deceit.

sorry to pick you up on this but you finish with "I have faith" but question above that he surely must know his intentions.

Gary Ablett said he changed his mind over half a dozen times and that was when there was already a firm offer on the table, and he had accomplished footballing glory at the Cats. Taking TS at face value ( and I DO have faith), he hasnt received an offer and has to choose down the track between huge dollars and moving on before providing reasonable service to his original club against staying at club that is 4-5 years advanced on the club that will be courting him and a club that has such a bright future according to the scribes. I suggest that he surely doesnt know his intentions - I believe ( with no insight or knowledge whatsoever) that his preference would be to stay but the question remains at to the size of the gap or the difference in the detail of the two offers.

I am treading a fine line, I do have faith in Tom, but I am uneasy and not as dismissive as some that so many people are saying he's gone (and with such certainty). It's not good for the club and will only get worse in the lead up to possibly finals.

The preference must certainly be with Melbourne. He would have to leave family / friends / home and be run ragged until his knee falls off at GWS.

He will be a star no doubt, but I dont see the logic from GWS. He is effectively a draftee, of which they will have plenty of (and good ones).

When he did his press conference i was so convinced he was staying that i got a new jumper with 31 on the back.

The longer this plays out the more of a distant memory that day becomes, but if you go back and re watch the interview or re read his quotes its impossible to say he's going unless hes a blatant lier, which is somthing im lead to believe he is not.

If he goes then his integrity is shot (at least from a MFC / supporter / team mates perspective), and if he stays then some people in the media who are spreading this 100% gone crap should be given a big please explain.

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
