Not many changes to be made after five last week. Bartram should be fit and Blease had another good game for Casey as did Petterd.

Evans will be unlucky, no doubt, but Bartram's best 22. He needs to play on Krakouer, or Sidebottom.

Blease will no doubt get a game if Sylvia's thigh doesn't come up, and I'd say he should make his debut within the next few weeks.

If Bartrams ready, I think we would need to take a small defender or a sweeper. Morton, Bennell, Nicholson, or Strauss...

So I would think that as the sub: Nicholson maybe the one. There missing him as well @ Casey, from the mids.

This maximises as much experience as we can, Bennells dash is handy, and while he polled poorly in his data points, his clearance work from the last line was handy.

Seriously, I think he did it kicking, yes, & that is his main weapon. I'd go very cautiously with his recovery over this and with his reinstatement into the game. I think I'd play him through casey after an extra week of rehab.. Pressure would cause him to overkick and the possiblity of further damage if he's not 110%. I wouldn't bring him back yet for this big game.

I find it bizzaire that anyone would suggest to drop jetta after last week. I think we have been selecting well and playing on form and not reputation or seniority. Why wouldn't this continue?

No, those players didn't exit the team for form reasons. Although if Tapscott does not come up, we need Strauss's boot, so Barty would have to replace one of the rookies, and I'm enjoying the zip they have added to the team...

With a fit Tapscott and Strauss playing with greater confidence, we have two great kicks on the HB line to open up and create play down the ground. Plus the option of playing Tapscott on the HF line...

Can not see Tapscott being rushed in. He only did his hammy 2 weeks ago, IF and a big if at that for him to play this week it would be half a game at Casey.

He is by far the best at the club at what he does. He is exceptionally strong and quick and can match it with the elite physically.

Bartram was "test" last week, so with an extra 9 days, surely he'd be ready - though you could be right!

No way is he a better kick than Rivers who is a very good kick. He's not better than Grimes or Frawley either who take chances with their disposals moving the game on. Bartram gets the ball and unless there is a clear option he often stalls the play and has to kick it long down the line.

Frawley gets Cloke,

MacDonald gets Brown,

Bennell gets Kraouker,

Strauss gets Didak

and in the midfield the only tag we have to run with Swann & Thomas out is Morton on Pendlebury.

Bartram is as good a runner as anybody, but one of worst kicks in team and a very slow mind with ball in hand. Rarely beaten is questionable, I think he is going to be slowly pushed as more and more get there chance and show they are a far better kick. It's going to be tough on a number of players. 30 odd just doesn't go into 22 without the help of injuries.

I agree that Bartram is a going to find it tough but we need a list of 35 good options to win a flag .

Bartram tackles well so he will be around but his kicking is suspect .

We have a lot of outside players so i worry about having too much class on the ground and not enough pawns .

i wouldn't care if Jord Mac couldn't kick either (but he can).

Why drop Strauss?

I predict he'll be the best CHB since G .Jakovich or Harry Taylor .

Grimes shouldn't be loose man back next year .

Flash shouldn't kick across goal or back and across goal .

We need defenders like Strauss because he has been raised to think defense first ,same as chip .

Jetta seems to have a bit of love around here. Never been a fan of him and struggle to see him play well on the big stage - he's never done it.

We know Petterd played well vs Pies both times last year and his most up to date form (VFL) was far beyond VFL level. Petterd is an AFL player. A key marking target in our F50 and can be hard to match up on.
