Jordie is massively impressive the way he goes about it he could be our Lenny Hayes.

Not necessarily the most skilled but commitment is undeniable.

I look at Mckenzie, Gysberts, Skully, Trengove, Tapscott and if Strauss and Blease can get it together

that's scary good in 3-4 years.

Friday night we had 1160 games experience at an average of 52.73 games experience.

Gold Coast on Saturday had 1309 games experience at an average 59.5 games experience.

That's how impressive we were.

I was at the Central Murray Grand Final (Swan Hill) last year and in fine vocal form when Jordie walked passed with a few of his mates. Yelled out to him while waiving like an idiot and he turned had a laugh and waived back.

Was out that night at one of the local's and he walked up behind me and patted me on the back and asked how I'm going and had a chat. He is such a genuinely great bloke, his mates had abandoned him (they were off talking to a couple pieces of local talent) so he came over to have a drink with me even though he was on the softies. I asked why he wasn't trying to get amongst some girls as well figuring surely he would drop the "I play AFL line" but his response while giggling to himself was, "look at me mate, as if I have a chance.... im a ranger!"

For someone who seemed so quiet and a little bit shy, his asggresion at the footy is amazing!

Definite man crash material.... if you like rangers

My sister in law knows his family....Tells me he is a top kid, and his family are so proud of him.

Can vouch for that too.

Have seen him out and about a few times and my god he is such a lovely, down to earth guy.

Really struggles taking a compliment and just so humble.

Definitely one of the nicest footballers I've ever semi- socialised with while out.

It might explain why he plays with such ferocity - sexual frustration. Stay single Jordie!

It may have taken a couple of years but I feel it necessary to formerly apolagise to Jordie McKenzie for my initial disgust at his drafting over Casey Sibosado (Still unsited) back in 2009.

If I could be bothered finding my post back then I would, solely for the purpose of punishing myself to the extent that is appropriate for such an incredibly stupid opinion.

Jordie is a gun and I think he is an integral part of our side going forward. The example he sets for his team mates with his work rate and intensity is invaluable to a young side and if we could find one or two more like him I think we would be better for it.

Conscious clear.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
