On a hiding to nothing I guess, at least he showed up

all talk until i see anything on the field nothing can be done to redeem thursday night

The main man is under the pump, He has one of the hardest jobs in AFL right now, right behind DB (thats another story), So brad yes he has been playing poorly,if you can even call it playing...but i will give him a bit more time than 5 games.

He is our only Veteran and everybody wants him to lead from the front, as should be expected, but MFC is thin on leaders... what do we have 4 players older than 26? Brad is leading a few pushing [censored] up a hill right now, and cops it when 18/22 play like crap.

Brad has some runs on the board, and people are very willing to forget what he has done as recently as last year for the MFC, was in the tram of 40 for the AA team missing the final cut. Top 5 in goal kicking or something

Anyone who has written the man off please remember,

THE CREAM ALWAYS RISES TO THE TOP

Go brad, but please pull it out

Cant really expect him to say much more, but as stated words are cheap..

Agree.

Words are cheap...unless backed by action.

He is not on his Pat Malone there. Every senior player should be on notice.

Andrew Maher..."That backside belonging to Pippa Middleton is our play of the day.."

Wtf !

Well, not bad, but still,...wtf ?

Brad Green should spend a week at Casey, he has to sort out whether he is in fact the man to captain the side.

And you reckon he can sort that out at Casey WYL ?

Gee, you come out with some pearlers!

What is brad green on this show for? watching him commentate on other teams and giving them a pat on the back after our more than pathetic effort thu. night makes me squirm. he doesn't look like a captain. he is a goal sneak and a clever forward line mark. so get off the television.

He has played 5 shockers HT, it's what i would like to see.

I'm more angry about the fact he was happy and all smiles when And Maher pointed out that we were still in the 8.

I feel embarrassed that we are. He seems genuinely excited and happy.

Sums up our club for me. Shithouse.

Couldn't he have come out and said "actually it's a little embarrassing considering the footy we are playing at the moment, we are having a good hard look at ourselves and working on some ideas that will ensure we are there at week 1 of finals"

Just so [censored] off right now at everything Melbourne.

[censored].

This.

Just another example of our mediocre culture. It's pathetic.

Green is terrible on tv with his cliches etc, not very inspiring.

It's not good is it...A Top 4 Captain would never allow that too happen. Glad i wasn't watching that with a bunch of mates, they would be bagging me for hours after that.

The exact reason i would send Brad Back to Casey next week.

Didn't look like he was hurting too much on the Telly Tonight....Brad still has some good football in him, but i have my doubts as to whether he is a captain as well.

I saw it not a good look.

Just seemed way out of his depth to me.

Not going well as a player or captain this year.

I think he is very lucky to be the captain, if not he might be on the way to Casey.

Friday morning I was talking to a friend who said to me.

"You know that you are over rating a large number of your players at Melbourne.

they are nowhere near as good as you think"

My god he might just be right, after some soul searching I have concluded that of our mature group none of them are game breakers.

The likes of Green, Bartram, Sylvia , Rivers, Moloney, jones, Davey, Dunn and Bate are average players who occasionaly

have a day out.

None of them can be relyed on week in week out to beat their opponents.

My friend may well be right.

If he is it accounts for why we struggle to get close to anyone above the bottom 5-6 teams.

I think our playing group is just outcalssed by most teams.

Have a single Malt Pitty it makes all the difference.

Stay annoyed....it means you care Pitty.

The club gets little media profile on these kinds of shows, so in the first instance I'm happy our captain got a chance to be on the show.

Cut him a bit of slack........... he seemed pretty nervous, and overall I thought he was okay.

Always tough to do that after a loss..............but certainly there was too much rhetoric and spin from Green...... much of which was a rehash of what Bailey has said after the match.

It's all up to the players now............time to shut up and let the footy do the talking!

Agree 100%. Could not have put it better.

I suspect he's angling at a career after football.

That said, I presume he and Ch10 organised this some time ago; both would be embarrassed about the timing (at least I hope he is).

I would have called in sick.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
