No Frawley. What a joke

Moloney in the top 50 players= complete joke.

He wouldn't be in the top 10 players at Melbourne.

Posted

Daniel Connors cracks spot ahead of Deledio, Cotchin and Newman. Interesting...

No Cooney?

Generally agree with his list. The Moloney selection's a shocker though

Odd list. Bordering on ridiculous.

Moloney is not even close to being in the AFL's best 50. Meanwhile Frawley, an All-Australian defender, is missing, as is Jamar, another All-Australian. Grimes isn't top 50 either. And that's just looking at it from an MFC perspective.

No Adam Cooney, James Frawley, Matthew Scarlett, Mark Jamar. Moloney ahead of Davey is ridiculous. How Daniel Connors made this list is a mystery.

No credibility and will get no more of my attention.

read this in the sunday times yesterday.

its a joke. Its like he was taking it seriously for the first 20 or so and then couldnt be bothered doing it anymore so did the next 30 players that came to mind.

I couldnt believe Cox made the top 50 after a poor 2010, yet Jamar, Jolly & Mumford were left out. And LeCras infront of Goodes, J Browen and Boomer?

I liked seeing Grimes & Beemer in the list, but Grimes probably proven himself over enough games of footy to be a Top 50, and Beemer's disposals probably arent classy enough. Maybe Beemer's short comings arent as prominant when you dont follow the dees as passionatley as we do?!

Leigh Montagna??? I wouldn't have him in the top 50. And he's above LeCras & S Johnston, & others.

I'd have Montagna between 15-30

The one thing I keep noticing about these top 50 lists is that Nick Riewoldt has slid in people's assessments.

Just shows you how make or break Grand Finals are for your reputation.

Good on him for putting his nuts on the line and actually picking a list of players that he likes, rather than a "best 50" list. Well, that's my interpretation of it anyway. But yeah, some pretty ridiculous inclusions and omissions there.

He's one of the resons the Saints lost. Far too slow running through the midzone, no breakaway pace. Kicks floating high balls, lacks penetration. Way overvalued. He's soft. He's one of the reasons the Saints went looking for Lovett & Peake. He can read the play, but has too many weaknesses.. The year before I agreed with you, I thought he's finallly come good. But no,, he's average. Appears better than he's effectiveness really is.

Now that the guy from the Victory Blinds ad has done a top 50 I can't wait to see what the Carpet Court Jester thinks.

Hahahaha. A much funnier way of putting the same thing I was thinking. WGAF what this guy thinks?

Just another ex-footballer trying to make himself relevant again. Keep trying, Karl.

Yep , coulda placed himself among the Super Duper stars if he could get a kick during a GF .

Relegated himself to the "Good ordinary" list .

No-one really GAF as you put it so nicely but it was interesting to me that he put in four demons and left out a pretty important one. And maybe Moloney is valued more outside this site than in it.

Karl Langdon does a heap of Sports/AFL talkback radio in Perth, and writes regular column in the Sunday Times - he also doe the vista blinds adds :P

I dont rate his opinions generally, but in WA some people may consider him "reputable"

Can't believe I got the blind company wrong. If they can't have Karl Victory will just have to console themselves with having a soccer team named after them.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
