Excellent response RR.

I guess you need some some variety and surprise in the Bluey. Having said that if our 4 most talented players- Sylvia, Davey, Green and Jurrah all play 20 plus games, then we'll likely win 11 + games.

That means another 5 games from Col and 12 games from Jurrah will give 3 more wins then I will buy that!

However it might require something more.

this years favorite for b&f is davey. hands down.

you have to base it on a player who could walk into any team in the league. Jamar and Frawley could do this but davey has been a consistent performer for so long now. rarely plays a bad game. Plus when melb has been getting flogged he has always put in a strong performance.

davey is vice captain. this is proof he is more than just a good player!

slyvia, grimes, etc...all have massive potential. and could win the b&f...but davey deserves to be favorite.

IMO, it'd be difficult to argue that 5 more games from Col and 12 more from LJ wouldn't have produced 3 more wins for the team overall.

1. Sylvia if he stays fit and plays all h&a games will be almost impossible to beat I think

2. Green, can't see him going backwards and will go back to back if Sylvia has any setbacks

3. Garland is the real smokey IMO, was sensational last season. A full pre season this year and like Sylvia if he can play out the season without injury could make the aa list.

Apologies to: James frawley, Tom scully, mark jamar, jack grimmes and jack trengove.

1. Sylvia - easily if he plays all 22 games.

2. Green - so consistent.

3. Scully - will be a prolific possession gatherer.

Apology - Davey (could pip either of Scully or Green).

Unlucky - Frawley (recovery period so will miss games and needs time to work back into things).

Disagree.

It seems like when Davey gets tagged and only racks up 5-10 touches, we get flogged. It shows his value to the team, but we need him to shrug the tag and be consistent.

He'll win the Bluey the year he does that.

Grimes - Will show again he is our most consistent player

Sylvia - Will get most of the ball in the middle

Green - Never far away from the action, inspirational leader

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
