Jurrah or Scully

Featured Replies

just curious, if GWS were after Jurrah as well, which would be the bigger loss? Scully or Jurrah? obviously i love both, but personally id rather keep Jurrah. he changes games in 5 minutes.

Jurrah will win games and Scully will win seasons.

I want both.

Jurrah is a freakshow..TS is a an excellent 'mould' of footballer..u can't teach the Jurrah 'styles'

Jurrraaaaah! 1000% Freak man!

Scully is going to be a super star, I have no doubt about it. I also, for one, do not believe that he will leave the club at the end of the season. Gun midfielders are not easy to find and if you get one, you try to hold onto them at all costs....however! There is and has only ever been, one Liam Jurrah. He is that good.

Fortunately we don't have that problem.

Couldn't pick it I'm glad we have both, like choosing which of your children you like the most.

Yep

I find it hard to participate in a hypothetical that involves Jurrah- no chance he will go anywhere.

However if there was a choice I'd be hoping Nasher has a spare bullet for me!

One is potentially replaceable the other is not. I am amazed at how sure people are that Scully is the next Judd/Ablett. Definite A grader but no sure thing to be elite.

Jurracane

Gun to my head right now to choose between Jurrah and Scully? *BANG*

Classic.

No one is sure to be anything as injuries etc can change ability in the blink of an eye. I think Tom barring injuries will be a great player becuase of his determination to be one, he is single minded about his footy. One area I feel he needs to develop is his kicking which I believe is his achilles heel at the moment.

Scully.

Like everyone the Jurrahcane gets me all tingly and giddy but with Tom you're looking at a 12 - 15 year elite midfielder.

Believe that hype. He's the next Judd.

Unrelated fear, but does anyone else get scarred Jurrah is going to get injured/someone is going to try to snap him every contest? He just seems so delicate- maybe it's just me..

Different players, different attributes.

I actually believe we could replace the role played by Scully with another player (albeit not as talented).

I simply don't believe we could replace LJ.

I agree you can build a team around one of them for 10 years, whilst the other looks "fragile". The comment about a player changing a match and the player changing a season is quite right. Nevertheless, you would walk on hot coals to see LJ work his magic, and it is all natural.

If we had to lose one to the new northern club, I guess I know which way i'd lean. Even Barrass believes it would be "better for the game" (which i can't believe he said about a 1 yr out 19 year old).

Ideally, we'll keep both.

I loves hypotheticals.

No better way to misuse brain cells and waste time than thinking about something that really isn't a possibility let alone a hypothetical probability.

And considering no-one is going to give you the choice in the first place...

If clubs had the chance - they'd take both...

Scully.

If you knew that Tom Scully would have the equivalent career of Luke Power what would you do to keep him?

MFCSS has been taken to a whole new level in this thread.

We're even hypothetically paranoid now. Dear god!
