Good win by the boys like what I'm hearing from the

Commentary sounds like Jamar had a good game our

Defence stood tall Garland and Macdonald seemed to get

Plenty of it. Hopefully we can continue the effort against Port

Especially with Joel MacDonald down there. I think he's a bit under-rated around here.

And I think that with a bit of injury luck, Garland could be every bit as good as Frawley. Different players, but Garland is simply superb on the rebound.

I've been watching online, fantastic win to start off 2011.

Blew out some cobwebs alright. Bennell, Bartram, Bail & Davey's leg speed helped time and again. Good pressure from the forwards made Adelaide cough up a few times. Maric converted when required which was good to see. But it's NAB Cup....now for Port...

Good effort in a scratch match. Hope we can hold up in 2nd game. I thought Evans was the shining light but let himself down badly by his kicking.

Very happy to see my man Stef Martin playing well. I'm a believer.

Suspect he might be subbed for Spencer for the Port Game. Nicholson other sub, presumably he'll get a run.

Scrappy game, but will be good for the confidence. Should be able to do OK against Port, but we're really missing McKenzie, Jones, Scully round the packs.

Believe Sammy Blease is up next, good luck

Good, and we still win a game. We need confidence in our whole list.

Do we have to win both matches to guarantee we go through to the next round?

If we win both its a sure thing. IF everyone wins 1 it goes to percentage.

Any changes to the team for the second game??'

If we get through on top of our group, who do we play next round? - i imagine a team that finished 2nd in there group?

Who would we play if we finished 2nd in our group?

Anyone know if this game will be put up on afl.com?? even highlights?

Only the top team goes through.

The best 2 second place teams go through as well.

Dunn goal.

Out of the 6 groups of 3, the top sides will go through, plus the next best performed 2 sides from the remainder as wild cards. I presume the sides who win by the most will host the wildcards... but then I reckon it will depend on scheduling too. ie, if the Pies are the last wild card, I bet they'd still play at the G.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
