Yep- HT -I understand and accept your point.. however I don't understand if something has been vetoed and you re apply and now want out..it doesn't make sense at all. Please give me a reply on this.

I can't make sense of that. Other than opinions change or some more news has passed concerning those players involved. The coaches involved would have all the answers.

As I said above, when i logged on yesterday morning there were two trade proposals. I clicked accept and it went through.

I think what JCB is asking now is why the request for a veto after you've accepted it ?

Yes we are brothers. And believe me I in no way want to give him an advatange over me!

But as mentioned earlier. This trade was a part of the Sylvia - Green trade that we did agree on earlier but I mangled up the trade when doing so.

In hindsight I'd like to vetoe as I don't wan't to be without Broughton. However if this is done the Green/Sylvia trade should be vetoed too as it was meant to be in the one trade. Does this make sense?

Oh I'm not requesting it. I'm just saying if you don't like it, click the veto button, that's what its there for.

You're not requesting it ?!

This is confusing...

Yes. In hindsight I have made a mistake and would like this trade not to go ahead. I did however agree to the trade so am willing to go through it. Similar to my stuff up with Walker/Ablett.

What happened in the Walker / Ablett one ?

Think I traded Ablett for Gibbs of you.

Ablett is with Mad Melbourne isn't he ?

Click the 'Vote Against' button

I pressed the right button for you- you owe me a very big favour as you were very foolish in accepting that trade IMO..

If we were to set groundrules for next season, I'd definitely be in favour of canning the "take-backs" with trades that have happened (sometimes accidently) this season.

Settle down Robbo24

RR has just lost 4 games in a row & then just stumbled over the last placed Deevoted 5 - 4

"Quite Imposing"

The mind games are going to a whole new level @ the minute

3 in a row OMR.

A mini-slump but we're not too worried. Just fine-tuning for the real stuff in August ... demon_biggrin.gif

Sorry RR 3 in a row - My Bad

Good Luck in August sadly I have to wait until August 2012, my fine tuning was little too late.

Now do you also have a brother in the top 8 we need to know about?

Stop stirring-I'm afraid I might catch your disease...however whilst on the subject of rules & regulations, we are on the eve of our league's final series and I have a question?

How do we obtain the rules for the finals. I'd like to read what happens if there is a draw re 4/4..how is the winner defined.-Highest score? please advise - thanks

yep i think my seasons done :( mathematically a chance but no. must beat DL7 and dappa in my final 2 games and hope like hall that snomeD falls to both deevoted and OMR. unlikley. mathematically will not be chance after this week

Just goes to show first round draft picks make or break you - Brian Lake sounded soooo much better in march!!! stoopid chronic knee for scullz..... atleast i got Cox cheaply. still going well for the brownlow :)

Just wondering for next year - grandfather clause? teams get kept and topped up with fresh draft at the start of next year? or brand new draft?

To you and others and in particular my old mate OMR--NEVER EVER GIVE UP- take each match as a grand final- that is how one develops but agree totally, luck plays a major role.If luck had been on my side I'd be leading this league by at least 12 points. But I tell you I am in 5 place and I intend to go to first place..especially after Robbo signalled me at 21/1 I just wish he was a real bookie..I would have had a mega amount on myself.I see Dappa hardest to beat,HT & D/L7 are the real darkhorses...and the ones to beat..and by the way I took Jolly as my first pick and don't really get a mention in any awards for my players, therefore one doesn't need a team of champions but a champion team..I have coached to negatively..HT taught me that- thank God he woke me up and now I have some real good forwards hopefully ripe for the finals...and Cam Bruce whom if right could turn out with Mooney as matchwinners for me. Go for it each coach...anything can happen..

You guys have different IP's and Jackattack is a gentleman, but you're a ... ;)

Gentleman? Try living with him...

For some reason I liked it better than Supercoach, I think it's purely because of the draft - only one person can have Ablett, Franklin, etc.

It's awesome. I don't even bother with SC anymore. The trading, between mates, is actually awesome too. In another comp we have a guy 3-4 games clear in the lead who only proposes stupid trades that are hopelessly in his favour, and he claims they make sense. Such a sheister, but even in the context of mates, it's funny. I think that's part of the issue here. Only 4 of us know anyone else in the comp... and as brothers... we're actually less likely to be cordial with one another.

Dappa and I are brothers, and make no secret of it.

Well. Not on here anyway. Down the pub, however...

Family collusion is unlikely with him, he doesn't have 1 decent player i'd be interested in.

Yeah. Watch Sandi [censored]-slap you this week. You'll change your tune.

I think I have proven it already but this weekend i'll make sure of it; Ufooty talent was unevenly distributed in our family.

Geez. Win one grand final... BTW what happened last weekend in our other comp? Hang on... let me check...

The Only major difference here is yourself & Dappa Dan have not proposed several unusual Trades throughout the season.

I had a pretty strong list at the start of the year, and I wouldn't be talked into any silly trades as I held all the chips at that time. JA and I know that a trade would REALLY have to be mutually beneficial to even get talked about... no speculating as you don't want to give your brother the opportunity to gloat. For example, if he had 4 really good forwards, but only 2 good backs, and I had the reverse... 4B and 2F... THEN we'd do a trade.

Believe me the only hand me down I'd take from him is his car.

The Bye & Injuries have hit Team OMR hard this round.

Out - Houli , Newman, Cooney, Higgins & Pods (Your mail was good afterall JCB, just one week early)

Hopefully my depth plus my New Star recruit Jackson Trengove get me over the line

Luckey SnomeD has traded all his decent players to Robbo24 just in time.

Our Ladder leader will also be tested without NikNat & Josh Kennedy (Very unlucky - What a freak accident)

Good Luck Lads in round 19

Thanks for your kind wishes my old friend and foe, you will still win this week, as you stated, SnomeD has given his brother the best...however that is b/w them.Pods would have had a rest(and should have) last week.I am the mentor of a Werribee footballer who is close to him.So it wasn't crap, just thought at the time, you should have been told.It was only fair to do so- the only reason that he played was to rest S.Johnson, my player.I spewed when that happened.Let's try to make the double together, You winning the Consolation final(that is, if you don't make the 8,and I'll aspire to winning the premiership.Go OMR- Go JCB.

Yeh I can understand that. And I wish to apologise for the 'fool' comment. I don't expect Jayceebee to accept this though. Good luck this week lads!

Of course I accepted this, by all means it is ONLY A GAMEand we all do not take it, very seriously.-although I thought you had been foolish in your endeavors and still do. I did vetoe your trade as you requested as I geniunely believe it was a stupid swap. I understand why you wanted to get rid of Watson,to cover for the G/F,if you made it.We nearly all have Essendon players in our teams but we are indevouring to get there first. But you left youself very vulnerable in gaining Swallow- re the bye in Rd21.and gave up a top backman as well. O well we all learn hope things do workout for you unless you play me..then I'll be happy. Best of luck to all and hopefully Deevoted and I have an interesting game.I think Deevoted should be congratulated by keeping going as he /she has done.

And it is going to be very interesting sitting back and watching the strategies and team selections take place before start of game ..Some surely have to make changes to win..just like I have done this round and look like loosing.another fool I am- however Devoted outcouched me this far..he deserves to WIN.

What a weekend its been in Ultimate Football?

Dappa Dan takes the Brother JA 5 - 4

Jako 13 stays alive & sinks DL7

Robbo24 & his new recruits make it 4 losses from 5 starts for Ladder Leader Range Rover

45HG to strong for Scarlett

Mad Melbourne punches on & takes out one of the flag favourites in HT

RPFC stays alive & ends Eth38's season

OMR also stays alive & beats the strange selections of current top 8 side SnomeD

Even while in New York JCB holds strong once more & rides his luck against Deevoted

The final round is shaping up like round 22 1987

Deevoted we are counting on you to defeat Brother SnomeD

Then Jako 13 defeats Dappa Dan & he sneaks into the 8

or

RPFC & OMR head to head. If Dappa Dan wins & Deevoted Wins then the winner of RPFC & OMR sneak in.

Going to be a huge final round to the UF Home & Away season.

Looks like Bails, Schwabb & CC might be free to join our comp next year!

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
