What do you have in mind ?

Someone who plays!

I've got two - but it is a little late to look now- shouldn't you have looked weeks ago,if you were fair dinkum.?

Care to explain how a couple of weeks ago would've changed anything?

A belting by your comrad in crime-the SKYSCRAPER-HT...showed me in less than a week I needed to change my list to stay or be a threat...needed to find better players..Wood for a fair deal ?

Otten maybe-- Jolly no deal is my reason to look. These I offer you for consideration..You have played without a ruckman for weeks now..None... therefore you are playing a game where you cannot win one section of the game and puts you behind in others. Is that Smart...I don't think so..if you are fair dinkum. You haven't had a ruckman since Renouf went down in Round 12 by memory.

Didn't you not know that you could propose trades until a couple of weeks ago? Surely you'd know that if you were fair dinkum.

I realise I should've had a ruck, but at the time I thought it'd be better to grab a half decent mid rather than a 600ish ranked ruck. After a few weeks of that I see that you need a ruck.

In fairness, there's also been a bit of a lack of luck. 4 rucks I've had this season haven't been playing or have been traded for ones who stopped playing, now I pick up Gorringe and he's dropped (bah!). I've had to cover Jack, Selwood, Curnow, Dawes and Petterd being out often in the past 10 or so rounds which has been difficult. (Obviously, everyone has their hard luck stories).

45HG i have Andrew Browne from RIchmond. He'll give you 25 hit outs around 10 meaningless possessions but he's almost an adequate number 1 ruckman. Far better than Gorringe. Float an offer and i'll see what I can do. He's my only backup so I'm not entirely keen to give him away but i'm in a helpful mood haha

I'll have a look. Anyone with spare rucks, flick through my team and see if a player grabs your eye - will save me from scouring through 15 teams.

Just pray for me that McEvoy doesn't break down 45 or i'll be devestated haha!

I'd like to say all the best for this weekend but I really need to win so I hope you have a very honourable loss ;)

Posted

Haha I'll be crossing my fingers for you...for McEvoy that is.

A loss this weekend and I'm cooked - probably am anyway!

On a complete side note.. Is your display photo taken at Halong Bay, Vietnam by chance?

It sure is, jumping off a junk boat.

Great pick up--you are certainly on the ball- watch out finals here he comes..

Michael Gardiner is available and apparently very close to a game in the ones at St Kilda. Has played rezzies recently.

I would be prepared to trade Josh Fraser. He is a lock at GC. I'll have a look at your side.

I am also somewhat suspicious however I will allow snomeD to explain his reasoning for accepting an injured man and two players out of form for 2 gems and another good UF player....

Smells like Julia Gillard here..

As ive said on u.f. Im in desperate need for a backman - watsons a walk up start and should be back next week but in any case ive got an abundance of midfielders - green v sylvia not that much difference in last few weeks but green kicks goals which i also need grahams career is over imo and jensch was dominating at the time i pressed accept - didnt realise he would come off injured but thats life - hopefully he plays next week! Ranking wise there is a difference but stats wise not all that much difference - im gaining in areas that i need to imo

Even after hearing from SnomeD not convinced.

Sylvia & Andy Swallow far outweigh "Dodgy string Watson" & the 2011 version of Brad Green

& of course if you do win through to the GF Watson can't play.

I wont be voting against this however Robbo 24 now looks to be in a very powerful position.

Good Luck both of you for the remainder of the season.

Alas the trade got vetoed anyway - am throwing some trades out for backmen - i'm prepared to take a bit of a hit stats wise - obviously if the hits too big it'll just get vetoed anyway - so if you have a decent backman then swallow, sylvia, moloney, bolton up for grabs! Snomed's BASEMENT BARGAIN DEAL OF THE SEASON!

On another note - up in Darwin to watch the dees last night -what a great city! Have now seen the dees play everywhere except Perth (try to see one i/s game a year) - by far the best place of the lot!!

To those who vetoed the trade - enjoy the cold weather down there :)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
