Underrated player IMO. Good pick.

This is where Ultimate Footy's awesome - it takes 15-30 seconds for a pick :P

Have you not KPs coming out your ears?

Underrated and I still need a FF.

Good backmen are easier to find.

Me too, was tossing up between he and BBBaz, went with Barry because even when he's quiet, at least he's still there.

Yes - keen on BBBBH but very happy that Jughead could average 3 goals when clearly chasing the all time points record

only had 6 picks to survive, but Bock is snapped up by HT

A good key backman? Frawley, Scarlett, Taylor, Hurley and Lake have been picked.

Got a few other options though that might be alright...and another little note I just realised that definitely has to be taken care of

Yes, definitely a big presence. Just ask Staker who was minding his own business, or relatively speaking.

The master, up again, then eth38, ox_5 and myself then it reverses, so probably pays to check again a half hour after your pick.

We'll breeze through a string of them.

Important rule clarification I was thinking about overnight ...

It's 17 + 1 but when can you activate the 1?

[a] Must make selections from all 17 teams and in R18 can select from a team already selected

or

Can make the 2nd selection any time.

I don't think anyone has selected 2 from a team yet - please let me know if you have because then it's .

I favour [a] but it's a democracy (at least on this one) and I'll go with the majority.

Posted (edited)

I assumed applied, but I'm just as happy with [a].

(earlier I did consider taking Mumford although I already have Goodes, but that decision was taken out of my hands a few picks early anyway)

Yeah I'd assumed too but then I thought some might be thinking it's [a] and that would cause angst later.

The more I thought about the more I liked [a] anyway, but I can see the appeal of too, being able to play your "wild-card" at any time.

Let me know ...

Happy with [a].

I don't think anyone will be banking on and it will add an interesting element towards the end.

Although...

No. .

Otherwise it'll be a mad scramble sifting through the bargain bin at the end and people with later picks will be disadvantaged.

With there is still an element of uncertainty for when it should be used.

I'd be first in the last round, so it doesn't worry me. Either way.

I like B/ the wildcard path myself. Adds another interesting dimension.

And I agree with E25 whoever goes last in round 18 using a) would get the dregs of the dregs ....

Your call though old55 as admin ...

I assumed a) as no one had used it.

I favour a) but would not object.

BTW I'm away for the weekend and unlikely to get much internet access.

Are we going through the weekend or should I PM a few picks with back-ups

Posted

Old I'm happy either way.

However, if they need to be chosen in position like your first post on the thread that could be difficult.

You just make the executive decision mate

PM me a list of selections in order and I'll make them for you.

Probably unfair to you to have to PM a few picks with back ups, as you could easily miss out on something.

I think waiting over the weekend is reasonable, personally.

PMing picks is only something that should be done a couple of picks in advance.

Otherwise you're short-changing yourself by not having all the information at hand.

You might assume certain players are gone that could change your strategy.

Having said that, I have a bit of work on today, so I'm going to PM my 2 picks to old55 now.

Just to be clear, we agreed earlier that you can move your selections round in the 18 and you don't have to keep them in the initial position nominated.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
