FOX TAKES A SPECCY

I didn't mind the reverse order top 10 last year but this time around (with no picks there) I think it's going to suck bigtime.

Well for picks from 10 to say 6, after they're called out we would have a fair idea of who will be around for our pick 12, as the top 4-6 are pretty much set in stone. So long as they don't take an eternity to announce them like last year.

Or you could just follow it online and see them in the correct order, as they happen.

Fox are trying to make the event exciting and suspenseful, when by nature it's really not. Seems like ratings grubbing at its worst to me. I'm not sure what type of person would find watching the top 10 of the draft in reverse order exciting or interesting, but I'm certainly not one of them.

At least they'll have the analyser thing.

That was shocking last year, had no idea who was getting picked post top-10 with those horrid interviews.

On the bright side, like last year, Melbourne will have a nice bit of time to make their next selection after that top 10 - Gysberts at 11 last year, ? at 12 this year.

But seriously, the AFL HQ reveal their lack of substance every time they add a new gimmick. Everything is a gimmick in Demetriou-land.

I'm not sure how Fox can really expect to gain the ratings if the presentation is of the poor standard of last year. Anyone who is really interested would be getting their information elsewhere i.e. online as you suggest or on SEN.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
