New Demons Logo?

New home and away jumper?

New Clas Jumper?

Captaincy?

Sponsorship?

Juice elevated to Snr List (allowed because free veterans place) - JUST KIDDING OK

Daisy, I reckon you've got it.

The emblem has been revealed, but not the new demon.

In conjunction with the kids being presented & their numbers.

Now John Trotter is on the board could it be a sponsorship deal with Deloitte ?

Matt Burgan says it's a "major" announcement.

Cam Schwab says it's a "cool" announcement.

Exciting times for the Dee's !!!

WE will be selecting Ash Hansen in the PSD and he will be our new Captain :)

We would need to delist someone for that to happen. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Kaspersky already improve their sponsorship package to us after the kaspersky cup in China?

why not ?

There was a retweet by Clint Stanaway form 9 news that said its not captaincy news but exciting for demons fans. Not sur ehow he knows but ill go with it.

I've just got an e-mail, it is big, it will annouce the new personalized MFC coffee mug available for 14.95 plus postage

Haha. I got that too. Massive news.

Either this is going to be a fizzer of a presser or no one knows what's going to happen.

Certainly the descriptions of 'major' and 'cool' don't fit the regular awarding of jumpers to new kids. Nor would I classify revealing a sponsorship deal as 'cool'.

Maybe the new jumper? Maybe it's a bit 'newer' than we thought?

Lol . For a sec there I thought , how cool, they've even used my name for the promo of the personalized mug . Then it dawned on me. It's a hot day !!! :)

Stanaway has connections at the club.

Along with being close to a few of the players, I believe his father is head trainer at MFC.

The best thing about this announcement no matter how big it is, is that information is being released by the club and not being leaked out prior to the press conference.

News might be that Liam Jurrah is infact a triplet and his two brothers are much more coordinated and skilful than he is. We have just located them in the middle of the outback and signing them up today!

Just when I was beginning to think your previous post was on the money....

Major Sponsorship with Daikin - now thats cool

What about Tubby's "Australia's favourite air?" (Fujitsu)

Jack Viney for sure.

I doubt it.

edit: Whilst it might be good news, the Viney saga should be a fait accompli. We all know he's coming.

New contract for Dean Bailey?

What about Tubby's "Australia's favourite air?" (Fujitsu)

Hmmmm, maybe (as long as Tubby doesn't do the adds - he's a big NFL fan I hear)

An oil barron died and left us a couple of billion $$

It has to be Jack Viney doesn't it? There is seriously nothing else worthy of calling a press conference for.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
