Congrats to BDA, and I finally got lucky!

Clint & layz both went very close but unlucky. Over the course of 18 weeks, 1 point here or there is invaluable

A close tussle all season but the last week was too tough for all of us, to either edge clear, or make up ground

Well played all! (Post season tipping comp details to follow)

Well the Rams better not lose and [censored] up my bday!!!

But tbh we were very AVG on Offence until nigh on the last qtr and our secondary is getting worse by the snap.

We should be able to beat the Panthers, they look horrible but no way we beat Seattle the week after. I don't know what happened at half time in the Seattle game but it's like we lost the ability to play football.

You've got to be in it to win it, but in this sport, as we've often seen, a team can score twice in a minute

Rams should win as expected, but the other 5 matches are definitely up for grabs ... maybe the Pats & Bears at home, but who knows?

I'll be quite happy if the Packers can win one playoff game, but if we do happen to beat the Bears, Seattle awaits! (with that scenario, the Rams would avoid Seattle in the 2nd week, if the Rams get past Carolina in week 1)

Season starts again now and everyone is in the running. Except us..

But even us.

I haven't seen many games over the last month or so but i was very impressed with the seahawks yesterday. i reckon they are the team to beat.

Jerry Jones has his work cut out for him to get our defensive roster up to spec. We were terrible defensively again this morning, missed tackles, dumb drive extending penalties, porous as swiss cheese. We have an offence to contend but we can't defend for toffee.

A team that can do well against the Seattle D and put pressure on Darnold can beat them. Rams did it in the first half a few weeks ago.

Third downs vs Darnold are key, it’s where he mostly has his turn overs.

Interesting watch for Cowboys will be Pickens and if he stays and for how much.

I may be wrong, but I still don’t think Dak is the right player to take the Boys to a SB.

Adams to be back for the playoffs.

First player to lead the NFL in touchdowns for three different teams.

Lake will also be back after 7 long long weeks.

To give you an idea of how much we missed him, with Lake in the team we held teams to 17.2ppg, last 7 weeks lake has missed 24.8ppg

Pete Carroll sacked after just 1 year as the Las Vegas Head Coach

However, he did have a 3 year contract worth $45Million so his payout figure will be approximately $30Million

Sorta softens the blow a tad

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

The Dees ran another clinic for the second week in a row as they easily accounted for the Tigers in the lightning interrupted shortened match at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.

It's Game Day and the 2026 AFL Premiership season is almost upon us as the Demons take to the field for their final practice match before the first ball is kicked in anger in 16 days time. What are you expecting to see from the Dees today as they take on the Tigers at Mars Stadium in Ballarat?
