Many of us know the story of Samson of old testament fame whose strength lie in his locks. The parralels between he and Lynden are stark.

Clearly the mo has some shortcomings, it has the appearance of a well manicured nomadic eyebrow. For the sake of Lynden's career and the MFC it surely has to stay.

His performance amongst the opposite sex will surely have nosedived since it's appearance. Perhaps we can organise some volunteers or "martyrs" if you will. Please ladies...for the sake of the football club!

Sorry, it's gotta go. Taking one for the team is one thing ladies, but being utterly ridiculous is something else altogether.

I'd suggest that 5 goals on the weekend and the prospect of a ticket to the Brownlow outweighs bad facial hair in the eyes of many young women.

As long as he's kicking bags, who cares...

I reckon there'll be a few bigfooty thread on "who has the most hittable head in the AFL" with Lynden leading the charge.

Gotta love the mo. Its a shocker but he should keep it.(if that makes sence)

Takes a lot of guts to have a mo like that.

Bit of character.

Gotta have guys like Lynden around the AFL scene. Bit of a laugh and doesn't take things too seriously (apart from his footy!). There is slowly becoming a draught of characters such as Lynden.

Keep that 'tash!!!

The MO could be classified as a tickler by the young gals.Keep it on forever if you kick 5 goals every week.

35/35 say keep the mo...

HA!

He was rubbish without it. No brainer.

Dead ringer for him on that slow-mo (stop! pun time) Carlton ad.

That mo makes me want to vomit!

However, it makes him awesome, and hence I love it.

I was just looking to see if someone had picked that up before posting the same.

Dead ringer!

If it goes we will win the wooden spoon!

The Mo is our Mojo :P

His mo is all the more pathetic since he has dyed it dark brown to make stand out. But I say, "KEEP THE MO!" It will be a symbol of the new demons era - great things from humble beginnings. It has given him the confidence and bravado of a Spanish conquistador!

As a beard wearer myself I am both perplexed and amazed by many men thinking facial hair is a turn off for the ladies..au contraire.by the way Lynden's pregannt partner hates the mo but she can't persuade him to shave it off and she was disgusted that he dyed it whilst she was asleep........

The great thing about the mo is that if footy does not pan out for him, at least he can play the swashbuckling hero in a 1920's movie. post-1834-128347152401_thumb.jpg

Spoke to Lynden in the rooms one afternoon after a game (Hawthorn I think) as i used to play at Moonee Valley with him. He said its a laugh, and the more people who tell him to shave it make him want to keep it even more.

He did say if Kyle Remiers from Essendon can wear purple boots, he cant see an issue with the MO!

Good on him I say!

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
