Jerry Lundergard 420 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Our lack of inside 50's 2. Lynden Dunn's moustache 3. Continuing injuries to Jack Grimes and Rickt Petterd.
Deestroy All 14,266 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Matthew Bate 2. Joel Selwood 3. Ricky's shoulder
Adzman 2,154 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Kebab vans at the footy! 2. The GC17 concept 3. Matty Bate
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Injuries to key players 2. Inconsistency of effort and skills from quarter to quarter/ game to game 3. Jack Watts threads
Red and Blue Flame 242 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1- Stef Martin 2- Matthew Bate 3- White Clash Jumper
Jonesy!!! 27 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1: The concept of this great game.. dont go get the ball.. tackle te guy who does 2: Injuries to our kids (blease, tappy, grimes, morton @ start, jurrah @ start, sylvia (kinda young, need consistant games), jones (broken vertebrae.. wtf)) 3: Melbourne Storm - they just **** me
WonnaJurah 5 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1.endless ribbing of why we took Watts instead of Nik Nat 2. Lynden Dunns mo 3.Cale Morton (bulk up please)
Sir Why You Little 37,458 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 The on going white Clash Jumper Not beating Collingwood when we outplayed them TWICE Our inability to win away from the MCG B)
e25 5 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Clint Bartram being able to get his hands on the footy (so he can then butcher it). 2. Newton showing promise in the VFL (that he is never able to convert to the AFL). 3. Youth policy forcing great servants to retire prematurely (even though it is a prudent and necessary evil).
stuie 7,374 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Stats (used to prove bad games were apparently good games, bad players were good players, especially supercoach etc) 2. Talk of winning quarters not games 3. Brad Green's kicking (seemed to get a bit wobbly later in the year, but only a bit)
Red Sox 2 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. The Ponsford Stand - credit to this area during the Dees/Hawks game. A good day standing on the terraces. Other than that, it feels like Docklands down there now and the single BAR is a disgrace. 2. The MCG car park - tried 3 different entrances for the North game, car park taken over by a Jehovah convention 3. Waiting for a win at AAMI
Dr. Mubutu 867 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. The idea of a second ruckman 2. Umpires' uniforms clashing with guernseys 3. Continuing shoulder and hamstring injuries
MadAsHell 4,217 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 1. Our ability to continually have one of the highest injury rate in the AFL 2. Gold Coast 17 coming in and the rumors about who they'll be poaching. 3. Stefan Martin's inability to make the no 2 ruck position with the ability to drift forward or back wherever needed his own.
Geddy Lee 582 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 1. Football coverage in general, particularly channel 7 and print journalism. Has-beens like Bruce McAveney (sp.) and complete morons like Mark Robinson. Miked umpires and gossip journalism. Double standards and Ben Cousins love. The Clinton Grybas void. Ex-footballers in the media commenting and these comments being reported as news by an affiliate the next day. A disgraceful year for football coverage - excluding Martin Flanagan, Gerard Wheatley and Emma Quayle. Makes me sick to be honest. 2. Inexplicable first quarter blow-outs. Freo, Carlton, Richmond first time, and plenty others. Carlton was most disappointing. 3. People demanding more of Jack Watts than Cale Morton.
Pates 9,697 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 1. The Ben Cousins talk - to say i'm over it is a MASSIVE understatement 2. Small injuries turning into big ones - seriously how many times did it appear like our players getting a simple 1-2 week turning into 6-8 weeks! Petterd's was the most frustrating, the guy can't catch a break! 3. Matty Bate - he's got some soul-searching to do over the summer, was poor way too often and with our building forward line he may struggle to find a spot next year. At his best he is a fantastic hit up target and his goal kicking is valuable, but something just ain't right atm.
H_T 3,049 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I've lost some love for: 1 The Jam Donut vans outside the MCG 2 Sunday Games 3 those looking for Game Plan B ...clearly it's been a good year then.
Roger Mellie 4,205 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 1. AFL games starting at 4.40pm on SUnday 2. Lyndon Dunn's Hitler moustache coupled with pink mouthguard 3. GC 17 - the OTT concessions

Apparently a decent footballer, All-Australian, B&F winner and club captain also retired last Sunday. Missed this in Mondays HUN I've lost some love for: 1 The Jam Donut vans outside the MCG 2 Sunday Games 3 those looking for Game Plan B ...clearly it's been a good year then. Sunday twilight games & Jam Donut vans outside is not a good mix. 6 donuts at 7.30pm is no dinner substitute
H_T 3,049 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Sunday twilight games & Jam Donut vans outside is not a good mix. 6 donuts at 7.30pm is no dinner substitute Indeed. Especially with kids in tow and school the next day.
hoopla 418 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I wanted to put Collingwood's minor premiership on top of the list - until I remembered that you can't fall out of love with something you've always hated. 1. The sight of players running to and from the interchange bench. 2. The increasing tendency of umpires to penalise the bloke going for the ball. 3. Long "half time" waffle sessions during delayed telecasts. With apologies to Lynden Dunn's moustache.

I should edit my post in the "fell in love" thread to include - September - often synonymous with the Colliwobbles.
e25 5 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Oooh! ooh! Can I add: articles written in the papers based on Twitter updates. Ridiculous.
H_T 3,049 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Oooh! ooh! Can I add: articles written in the papers based on Twitter updates. Ridiculous. Times have changed haven't they ? Twitter - making things easier for those reporting on the social pages; even some sports journo's. Good for forums like this though. ie. Jones' tweet re: his back. (I've since seen this tweet has in fact been reported..)
grimes16 0 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 1. Collingwood 2. Injuries 3. People even contemplating Molony as captain
titan_uranus 25,255 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 1. Bate and Martin not living up to my expectations. 2. Losing to West Coast. 3. Injuries to Petterd and Grimes. Again.
