I am in Darwin and the oppresive conditions really hit you when you arrive. Was still oppresive at game time last night.

For that reason I'd say we should play Jamar as the lone Ruckman with Dunn to pinch hit and provide extra running depth.

You know, you could just click on 'View' next to their names. This new feature of 'Public Polls' allows you to see who votes for whom.

A bit of research goes a long way when posting on Demonland...

Just thinking ahead to the selection & the Geelong game, I think it suits this week for team Balance, that PJ will come out, for the Darwin game, with a smaller backup Ruck who can influence field play.

But for the Geelong game, I think we could go with a second Ruck in the Name of Spencer, down their.

We'll need Jetta for Geelong, so he'll play I'm sure this week. I think Wonna will play as we need him next week & he needs a run off interchange with managed ground time. Casey don't play for the next 2 weeks I think.

So, - I would bring in Newton/Dunn, whoever can serve us best in the ruck.

Jetta + Wonna & the Gys. Play a Small team this week as the ball will be mostly on the deck.

Miller for Bate, I'd rest the bate for 1 week, don't risk him with the big games coming up. Get him cherry ripe, 1 week off.

Cmon dee-luded....NEWTON???? Please leave his name well out of these discussions.....no good, just no good. Miller deserves chances before he is let go this year well before Newton.....Newton belongs to VFL level....Miller is above VFL level.

Miller can come in to play the back up ruck.....I will put my house on Morton coming in for Bruce. Miller for Johnson (who is another that has had enough chances and shown NOTHING). Bate will go out.....hope to see Gysberts come in. Jetta and Wonna are very close and maybe Jetta will get the go ahead of Wonna with the trip being not ideal for Wonna to recover at this stage.

I really hope that Gys is played...he deserves his shot. Darwin weather is obviously hot but alot of dew etc, which is ideal for smalls, but difficult to go in with only one ruck option.

OUT - Bruce, Bate, Johnson

IN - Morton, Gysberts, and one of Miller (for a back up ruck) or preferably one of Jetta or Wonna

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
