I wouldn't be dropping Dunn.......certainly not for Watts at this stage.

Dunn can play a range of roles, including as a "run with" player.....his flexibility is more appealing than what Watts can deliver at the minute.

Hughes deserves another week, and shouldn't be dropped.

We'll need 2 ruckman for Cox and Nic Nat, so adding Watts for Dunn takes away a player we can rotate through the midfield.

With our midfield run and ability to run out games this year, putting in Watts for Dunn would weaken the team this week, not strengthen it.

If West Coast went in with just one ruckman, then a PJ for Watts swap is a better option, but otherwise, leave the team unchanged.

I believe dunn is too hard done by on here but i would love to see Watts play as soon as his form does warrant it and i think it does. Also based on the fact i cant think of a particular role for Dunn this week he goes also that we have plenty of players who can run though the midfield. Also on Bail he would of missed a months worth of footy so he may have to play for Casey before comes back in.

On the ruck issue P.J would be incredibly unlucky to miss based on one game that worked against him in those conditions and with the weagles likely to play cox and niknat he should keep his spot.

Why not play Watts?

IN: WATTS

OUT: DUNN

Dunn is OK but Watts needs to be playing at this level. 4 goals warrants his inclusion.

Would love to bring back Bail but there aren't any other outs unless we go one less tall in the backline.

Watts'y may come in, but IMO he needs one, or poss' two more games of fitness to be "Cherry Ripe".

On his contribution to the team this year Dunn shouldn't be anyone's whipping boy .... and he won't get dropped. Give him a break.

Hughes did all that could have been expected of him last week. They wouldn't have put him in in the first place if they weren't prepared to give him an opportunity to build on a satisfactory start. He won't get dropped either.

I agree absolutely that they won't put Watts in the ruck - which means that he will have to consolidate at Casey and that there will be no change.

I'd love to find a spot for Morton .. but unless you drop Bartram ( which would be tough) or rest Bennell ( which I doubt), he'll have to have another run at Casey - which will be good for him anyway

So you've changed your view on Barts?

Where did you watch the game from? -I saw that you went home in your pink poncho before the game started becaause it was too wet.

In the past I've been kind to Dunn and hoped he would make his mark as a player in the team. I reckon he's been ok this year but with the players lining up at the door he'll be the first casualty. Watts, Morton, Gysberts, Jetta are all banging hard on the door of selection. That's 4 spots we've got to find. Hughes will have to play his pants off to stay in. Would of loved seeing Petterd play a whole year. Others who will be playing at Casey are harder to find. I think the team is in great shape so early on in it's development.

petterd is gone to the gold coast i reckon. really sad cos he was looking like a gem

theres one player from each club that the gold coast had the opportunity to sign, and in the loophole- they wouldve signed ricky

changes for this week- will see watts and bail come in at the expense of rivers and perhaps PJ or dunn

I don't know about Watts but I can't stand the "Dunn was OK" nonsense.

He has shown little over the journey and we are going to give him a pass because he has outdone his pathetic standards?

Give me a break.

Bate is his contemporary and continues to show more than Dunn and steadily improves each year (even if the masses refuse to see it).

Bail, Cheney, McNamara, Gysberts, Jetta, and Watts are reasons why Dunn being "OK" isn't enough for him to keep his spot.

And one last point - he was rubbish on Friday - kept on giving up the ball and making poor decisions.

Give a kid with a future a go.

Why not play Watts?

This is not an argument nor a reason to play him.

Bailey and the FD have repeatedly said he won't play until his form at Casey warrants it. One good game doesn't equal form. I would be surprised if he makes it into the team.

Exactly right. Very nicely said too.

And instead of bringing Watts back on the back of one game, maybe it's time to look at Cheney and McNamara, who are continually playing good football for Casey. I still think McNamara could be a good half forward for us.

Not sure to be honest, he had a tight hamstring last week but not sure if its related yet.

So have you heard he is out injured or having scans mate? Bit unclear.

First of all they wont drop Dunn, he is number one for marks this year.

I would like to see Cheney, Watts or Gysberts come in,but who to drop?

P. Johnson,Bartram,Rivers - one, two, or all three of these is my guess, although it would be too much of a risk to drop a ruckman against this mob.

Best change I have heard all year. Dunn may be taking a lot of marks, but I cannot bear to watch what he does with the pill after the mark has been taken.

Grimes, to Trengove, to Scully, to Watts.....GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly.

All that tripe about how Dunn should be kept because he's leading the marks statistic; what rubbish.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
