I followed Big Red Fire Engine's example last Thursday and purchased a jumper from the football club and got a number on the back.

Although I usually buy a polo shirt each year from the club this is the first time in many many years that I have purchased a jumper.

I love watching Aaron Davey, I marvel at Liam Jurrah, I reckon Jack Grimes and Cale Morton are absolute guns, as I think quite a few of the other kids we have drafted in the last few years will be, but I haven't thought of getting a jumper with their numbers on it. I haven't contemplated getting a number 4 for Jack Watts or a 9 even when Neita wore it or 5 or 3 for the Ox or Garry

When I finally decided to get one, it really was a no brainer which number it would be, I went back to the future and got the same number I wore as a kid, and the training jumper I wore when I coached Croydon U14s and 16s (same as Carlton jumper), Ron Barassi's famous 31.

May have something to do with the kid who is wearing that number now as well, I fell in love with the way Tom Scully plays his football when I saw him last year at Etihad in the U18s, nothing much has changed since and I would have been gutted if we had not drafted him.

A bit wrong. Probably 23 would be more appropriate. Just due to the age gap. Otherwise fine. :)

Have been meaning to get around to putting a number on mine all year. Think it will have to be done this week. Will be a number 13 for me as it's always been my number, and by a happy coincidence I also happen to have a giant man crush on McKenzie.

I can't choose. I would be happy with about 12 different numbers, I've got so many favourite players at the moment.

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
