No truth, yeah look, we're just you know going through the motions but we'll play it one Essendon player at a time and see if we can fit them into our systems and rotatet them through the middle and into the fat side...

Without reading this thread I just want to say that I do not want McPhee because he is ugly, and doesn't seem to be a nice person.

In fact, I would say I hated him for those things.

Or...

He is too old and slow and Rivers already does his job better.

But, whatever...

Whose spot in the 18 would you give him?

Exactly.

This was the first and last question I asked myself about him. In all honesty he DOES have some market value, but it's VERY limited, and doesn't suit us. You don't delist operating good players at the wrong end of the age-scale just to pick up OTHER operating good players at the wrong end of the age scale.

A big fat "next."

Similar question: Whose spot in the 18 would you give to MacDonald?

Whoever we take in the PSD, they're going to take the spot of someone.

I just hope it's not McPhee.

Potentially the position that has been left open by the retirement of Wheatley, the inefficiency of Bell and the injury of Strauss. A deep side is a powerful side, lets not forget that. A lot of people are forgetting just how many injuries we will sustain throughout the year, even in the best case scenario. So having flexible players like McDonald, Dunn and Martin possibly not in the starting 22 but in the first line to step in to replace is a huge bonus.

But agreed, McPhee is not for us

I wouldn't give McPhee a second thought.

Ask an Essendon supporter - he is inconsistent and unreliable. He is 27 .. with a history of injuries - and he is holding out for a 3 year contract because he is concerned that he might start to struggle in year 2.

Subject to his training form - and attitude - Thorp has an upside that Mc Phee doesn't

Hoopla I did ask Essendon supporters about McPhee and they don't like him and are happy to see him go.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
