Then again, SEN might not have made up that story at all.

My contact at St. Kilda suggests that the delisting of McGuire was a little unexpected and there's some speculation that the Saints could be trying to make room under the salary cap to allow a new offer to be made to retain Luke Ball.

A-ha, I see.

No for McGuire anyway.

Sam Blease certainly hasn't helped his situation any Good by breaking his leg, Fortunately as he is still Growing he should be ok.

Bones heal better when they are still Growing. But only time will tell.

Broke my leg very badly playing football when I was about 16. Snapped my Tibia and had multiple fractures in my fibula and then a couple more in my ankle. Having said that its very common to have multiple fractures as the force is transfered throughout your leg. Each person is diffrent but I have not had any issues since. As long as they were able to reset the break properly he should be fine. The leg will actually be stronger than before.

Yep, in the stands with a cold beer

That's good to hear!!!

Now about that Leg!

Yeah at 16 your bone is still growing-you were lucky.

I spoke to Nathan Brown about his leg last year, & his main issue was Dull pains & fatigue in the second half of Quarters.

He was Burning in that first part of 2005. A real shame as Brown is a really nice guy.

I hope that Sam is all ok.....

Feel sorry fpr the bloke because he was right up there. Would have been nice if Lyon could have given him, considering he was fully fit, a 100th game. But I suppose if he did that then he might outshine the golden child Dawson. Would love to pick him up if no Ball, big name, still relatively young and he could well be a star again with constant game time

Maguire keeping options open

Goose happy to do a preseason if it helps his chances at furthering his career.

What could be the harm in inviting him to Melbourne ...we'd get a good up close look at him.. whats the harm ?

Go after him I say he is 25 had a year of recovery in the VFL and is no longer pigeonholed as a backman considering he kicked 5 goals on more than one occasion for Sandringham this year. Is only 25 and fits in with our youth policy. Would be silly not to look at him.

I'd prefer an injury riddled J.Smith to an injury proned Goose (KPB). We have key defenders. I don't buy into the "could play forward" option either.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
