ah, yes I posted this in the"Brock has left the building" thread, but I think it is of value enough to have it's own:

I will now use my number five jumper to wipe my arse with. Or maybe I'll wait til I see who gets the number five first..

I thought he handled himself ok in that interview and didn't take any low blows at the club on his way out unlike Robbo who can't seem to keep his mouth shut.

He didn't want to be at the club, that's fine, we moved him on and were compensated fairly.

Time will tell who has the last laugh!

in one breath his saying late last year was tough and everyone really had to make sure they stuck together and in the other his saying towards the end of last year he wasn't happy and made his mind up to leave.

he knew that because we succeeded in only winning 4 we'll be adding 2 gun mids and he won't be getting a game in two years.

see ya mate.

I suggest quickly following up the brock interview with this one:

Yep good call.. Im feeling alot better already. Infact I don't even recall a guy by the name of Brock? On a diffrent note has anyone seen the series of 'Joke Watts' clips on youtube. Although It makes me very angry the back ground music still makes me laugh.

I thought the interview was a credit to Brock and his professionalism. Well done Brock, and thanks for giving your all during your career at the Melbourne Footy Club ............ but I'll stop short of wishing you well at your new club, because they are almost as putrid as Collingwood in my reckoning.

Did anyone else think it was interesting that in this interview, both Dr Turf and more importantly Brock, more or less admitted that the club was tanking at the end of the year? Add to this Robbo's comments that were quoted in the Herald Sun on the weekend, and you have 2 players saying (In a round about way) that the club was tanking. Is it possible that this could lead to possible remifications? Or have the AFL created a rod for their back by steadfastly (and ignorantly) denying that tanking exists?

My dream scenario is Melbourne beating Carlton in a premiershpi with Brock looking on in despair.

Brock McLean - the man who wanted to lead our club, but whenever was given the opportunity, went missing.

Carlton can have him.

Jimmy Bartel tagged Lenny Hayes in the GF. Is he walking out on his club... no because he did what the team and the club required of him.

Perhaps Brock, if you could run 100m in under 15 seconds and kicked it to our forwards on the full, they would have given you a more creative roll.

Anyways, no hard feelings

Yes your words are close to the way i think, The sad part about this is that Brock just wasn't playing good Football.

So he had Bugger all to fall onto.

Next Years Carlton Game will be a Great Day......

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
