can't say i'd be to unhappy with either temel or panos with pick 18 if we go the two midfielders with one and two. also, if lovett finds his way to us in the pre season draft, i think that would offset the opportunity cost of jetta with pick 18. think then we really would have the makings of a pretty good side. add the class mids, pace in the midfield to give davey a chop out and maybe allow him to roam the forward 50 a bit more, and the power forward to complement watts in the coming years. correct me if i'm wrong but i think lovett's the same age as davey. think a change of scenery would be good for him, just as long as his off field issues don't negatively impact our indigenous boys.

Was on TAC Cup FutureStars today and is an impressive lad. Will be a definite player.

I rate him as a FF, but I still don't think he's quite right for our team.

Doubt he'll still be on the board at 18 though, so it won't be a decision we have to make.

I have a feeling the Doggies will pick him up.

Have you seen him play. If so, and I rate you as a judge-he will be a player. Yep- I acceopt the Bullies may pick him up however,Scott, Crocker etc.. were there yesterday and quite impressed- He will be a player. The most impressive tall in the TAC finals overall. BY FAR.Unfortunately feel now- Pick 18 will not get him.

If you haven't seem him live- you will have the opportunity to watch him on Foxrel live next Friday night.

This is why im hoping we can trade for another 2nd round pic, would be great to be able to get two of carlisle temel or griffiths.

I'm blindly hoping that Carlisle or Griffiths slide massively due to injuries and we can get both, or one and Panos, Talia, Temel...

Suffice to say, I think we need to load up on bigs.

That is the truest thing you have stated in a long time- talls we need. Again as you have stated earlier along with two top midfielders. Or maybe a top midfielder and a tall as our first two picks?

I'd prefer Scully/Trengrove -- Temel,Carlisle(you will see them both next Friday,or Panos)- Hey?

Serhat Temel, Jake Carlisle, Aaron Black, Daniel Talia, Matthew Panos, Ben Griffiths... there seems to be a bevy of them, so we're sure to get a good big.

Just remains to be seen whom.

And I am by no means an expert on them, having seen not one of these guys live.

(oh, but our first 2 picks will be midfielders, no doubt)

Interesting to note that Hutchie on Footy Classified believes we should pick a midfielder and a tall in our first two picks.

Maybe Scullt/Temel ?

yeah well who gives a crap about what Hutchy thinks. There are no talls in this draft worthy of pick 2, i would say that Trengove and Martin are miles ahead of any tall.

Scully and Trengove for me thanks. Scully is academic, and i reckon Trengove is bridging the gap between the two of them. Trengove is a must IMO.

If we want a tall there will be one available out of Butcher, Panos, Carlisle, Griffiths, Black and even Temel, come pick 18 (if we haven't upgraded).

Of those talls, the last 4 would be most likely to be around when it's our turn to pick. I wouldn't mind getting more info on Black

so out of the tall options we have

temel

griffiths

carlisle

panos

talia

(daw)

There are some others to be considered although, I think, late picks or rookies. Playing tonight are:

CASBOULT, INNES,MITCHELL FOR STINGRAYS

MITCHELL, LAWTON FOR CANNONS.

HOWEVER IT IS TEAMING DOWN HOWEVER WITH THE ROOF SHOULD SHOW GOOD SKILLS. WATCH TONIGHT.

AWAIT YOUR FOLLOW UP THOUGHTS.

Listening on the radio... Boy oh boy can this guy still be around pick 11? If not, at very least it knocks the other quality down a peg. Quick question for those who have been watching this year and today... Is he ahead of Butcher now?

Mitchell looked OK he is big and mobile good hands, might be worth a look. Temel finished with 5 goals for the day.

Pick 18 at the most!

Very, very impressed. I can't comment on any of the other boys but this kid looks the real deal. He moves well his hands are good and he is big and strong.

196 cm gorilla forwards who move well aren't that common..... and he performs in finals under pressure. I think the has kicked 20 goals in 3 games?? Has an air of confidence about him too.

Doesn't move to far from goal so either that is his role or he is limited by his fitness. I would be very pleased to see him on our list.

Just got home from the game-- good game great effort from Calder coming from 7th. Geat to see my man-TEMEL-KICK 5.

I REALLY CAN SEE HIM IN THE RED & BLUE. i THINK MALONEY CAN TEACH HIM TO BOX AND WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY.Mitchell played a great game too- they both play well together - but I can see WATTS/TEMEL pairing. THE GOOD THING ABOUT THEM BOTH IS THEY CAN PLAY FF OR CHF AND WILL MOVE UP THE GROUND IF NEEDED.

Serhart is a done to earth guy but will give his all. Good body now but can be built up beautifully. I am waiting and looking forward to Nuggat Jones report.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
