Shitttt I just read the last few posts. Far out we have been very unlucky this year, probley a good thing though. I wonder if he done this on the w/e or if he has been carrying it and they have decided to send him off to surgery so he can get right for next year?

I didn't ask, but I think he was on til the end of the game so I'll assume if it is the ankle it'd be a clean up.

Done for the season (Warnock), surgery today.

Not that funny.

Chris Connolly: having the operation now will allow him enough recovery to complete a critical mass of pre-season training in preparation for the 2010 season

That's good list management!

That's Common sense.

This would have been done by any bottom 8 side.

shhhhheez.

That isnt good, imagine theese kind of injurys if we were accually pushing for the 8.

If you look at the injurys this year "the real injurys" weve been extremely unluky.

Actually, if you look back over the past 3 seasons, we've been consistently hit with injuries. Hopefully, we'll get things right when we start pushing for the big one.

Come to think of it, he did look a bit ginger during and following a few contests, right in front of us, on the wing/forward flank.

Well, thank god the truism is correct.

'Everytime you join a new forum, you will have to defend yourself to at least 1 'braindead [censored]' within the 1st three days...'

Thanks for fulfilling that prophecy...

Sunshine..if you wish to make it personal ..go for it..however I doubt you have the ammunition..

You stil havent got it..and I seriously see now youre incapable of doing so. Otherwise as you suggest that you would defend it.. Actualy here we rather people debate and argue things on their merits and provide substance to their views.. not just suggesting intellctual vacuums !!

Im am still surprised and justa little concerned with Sylvias call up. It would make far more sense next week whenwe do expect to win, and more the point canafford to. This week we cant. He IS playing well as you point toand thats the inherent problem, i.e he will add too much spark to thisw outpfit at a juncture when we dont need to have too much.

Warnock out will hopefully compensate for Sylvia in......hopefully !! ;)

Not that funny.

True, it's not funny, but it is a very smart decision. No point playing him now. This way he'll hopefully be ready to commence pre-season with everyone else, rather than miss a few weeks. And we need Warnock to be fit and ready to next year if we want to climb up the ladder.

Maybe Sylvia will be better for the run this week. Having missed a month of AFL level football, he might need this week to re-adjust, thus being ready to tear Fremantle apart next week (and then promptly be put out to pasture...)

You're not reading what I said.

I had no issue with the one match ban imposed by the leadership group. I'm worried that he might be named as an emergency this week and there'd be no justification for that...

I don't really care what you said.

What I said was that MFC would not let the tail wag the dog.

Whether you believe Sylvia being IN or OUT is justified or not is irrelevant -- the fact is, your justification for including him in the side should not be because he may ask for a trade out of spite if he isn't included.

And to say he'd be justified in asking for a trade... well then I'd send him packing anyway if he did, because he'd obviously have the wrong attitude.

And finally, did you ever consider giving Colin enough credit to assume he wouldn't be such a diva?

T Mac is in

Of course he is.

Whenever a first-gamer is named, he is virtually guaranteed to make the side.

They would never get the kids hopes up for his first game and then dash them unceremoniously.

You'll find every time a kid is named for his first game he will play, save for exceptional circumstances such as Bail's mother dying.

Seriously, pay attention next time a kid is named for his first game on a bench of 7. He'll make the final side every time.

Ok fair enough, you win. I can't argue with that water-tight logic...

What?

I believe I acknowledged the fact that Sylvia missed a 4th week due to a decision made by the leadership group to suspend him for 1 game. I have no issue with that.

I was saying that once he had served his one week punishment that it would not be right to keep him out of the game today, considering he'd served his punishment, and was virtually B.O.G. for Casey Scorpions last week. He deserved a recall. Particularly considering that a number of the 22 are only there because of our massive injury list.

I never said Colin was a 'diva'. I just said that he'd have good grounds to be upset if he was overlooked this week for a senior game.

As it turns out, he's playing today so the issue is done and dusted...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
