The minute's silence was so impressive and very fitting. What a great way to acknowledge our demon legend Dr Don Cordner. I don't recall this being done before .

Yeah I thought it was very respectful.

I also like what I have seen them do in English soccer now and then to respect players and officials who have passed away, rather than a minute of silence, they have a minute of applause and cheering. Seems a fitting tribute to a sporting champion.

But yeah, the minute silence yesterday was great and fully deserved.

Just another reason why people like Wayne Jackson should just crawl away and keep their rubbish opinions to themselves.

The minute silence a great mark of respect and brings the spotlight on how much the people of our great club have contributed to this great game and stadium.

Troy Broadbridge also had minute's silence.... how very sad was that day !!

i thought it was fantastic before the game. we don't have many premiership captains left standing, for our club players like don are amongst the greatest.

i was dissapointed that the minute was so short, it perhaps should have been called a 'moments silence'.

i thought the minutes silence was extremely short as well! What amazed me was the amount of respect that was shown, i didn't hear one child talk, one cough, one fool start cheering or anything. All we heard was pure silence from 30,000 people, it was special.

I'm so disappointed I missed this! I was coaching and the game finished about 30 minutes later than it should have, so I rushed there and did well to only miss the first two minutes, but unfortunately I missed this. I didn't even know it'd happened.:( Very glad they did it though. Pity there wasn't a crowd in excess of 40,000 to participate in it.:(

I agree with the moments silence, rather than a minutes silence as was announced. It lasted a good 25-30 seconds (maximum).

It was the reason we support this great club & why it shall rise again soon.. Built on Tradition. All these new clubs that the AFL has formed or is forming, will never understand

where the MFC has come from.

Also great to see the Doggie's supporters paying due respect to Dr. Don on Saturday.

They were very respectful, probably remembering the late Teddy Whitten and what a legend of their club he was and how significant it is to honour your own.

The minute's silence lasted 30 seconds to the dot btw.
