At the end of the breakfast show this morning andy maher said join us tomorrow when we speak to, then he names some guests and one of them was jim stynes. If he isn't on don't blame me blame andy. But why is everyone so interested in us suddenly. Anyway tune in. I'm not sure if he will be in the studio or on the phone

Thanks for the tip. No doubt this story reported in the HUN today will be covered. I heard Andy Maher talk glowingly of Jimmy's pro-active ideas such as this one this morning. This idea of Jimmy's could 'well' have been mooted at the Summit last month. Aside from that, Gee, Maher can really crap on when he wants to. He needs time in a padded cell.

I'd attribute the interest in MFC to aggressive marketing on the club's behalf.

I think we're being a lot more proactive, or at least focusing our efforts in the right areas, compared to in the past.

But I smell a Membership marketing opportunity after reading todays article. While we have more members then this time last year most are members which have resigned early. Therefore the challenge is to attract more new members before christmas. 20k for xmas would be a good start for 09

Speaking of membership, I signed up again today and when asked the guy said they were just shy of 14,000 which is fantastic!!!!

I guess the key really is getting new members on board, because only us die-hard fanatics buy memberships 2 months after our team finished 16th.

Yeah, I get that alot from friends recently who are opposition supporters, "...you Melbourne members are suckers for punishment"..they say.

After telling them to go stick it, I say, "what goes around comes around, sunshine" - I'm waiting for that day to come, the last 2 years has been long enough. Seeing our new recruits drafted recently on the back of Morton, Grimes, etc from last year and the turnover of the list has given me hope and much needed ammunition for the future when the tables will be turned. :D

It's off-season, (no offence to the dees but) they've flogged the draft horse, the ben cousins horse, and pretty much every other horse for footy news, where else can they go if they want to keep talking about footy, which they always will on SEN!

For one, I don't care, I love hearing about the Dees on the radio, the more the better :D
