Another good decision by the new look MFC.

Good decisions so far(for those who still think nothing's changed)

1. Debt Demolition

2. Casey and the Fine tuning of Casey arrangemnent

3. Bubbledome on the way out

4. MFC - MCC relationship

5. Staff appointments

6. Delisting older players, focus on a youth led recovery

7. Honesty - that's right - we won't play finals next year - it's honest and it doesn't mean we're aiming for mediocrity as some seem to think

8. Demon Summit

9. The Demon and it's relevance

10. Carroll delisted

11. Brock made captain (well I hope so)

Who ever say's they haven't been busy is not looking

Yep. Congratulations to the new administration for biting the bullet on Mr. Carroll. I doubt it would ever have happened under the previous powers that be. Also agree with your sentiments on all the other initiatives listed Roost!

Yeah. Best deal for all (except Chopper maybe). I have a soft spot for him, as I think many do, but what was he going to achieve at MFC other than keeping Martin, Frawley or Warnock out of a spot?

Hs papers were signed the day Bailey took the job.

It has been openly reported that Carrol's salary will be included in the 2008 Total Player Payments.

It has also been confirmed that if Carrol's entire $250,000 salary was included in the 2008 TPPs then MFC would be over the salary cap and in breach of the salary cap.

Therefore, clearly Carrol must have been paid out for much less than $250,000.

He's 28 years old and he is our 6th best key defender behind Warnock, Rivers, Martin, Garland and Frawley... I'm glad to see the back of him.

It seems we were able to do it cheaply as well

He was on the news at St. Kilda training and he actually looked like a human being. No mo and no bogun haircut.

Fresh start all round......good luck to him :) !!!

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
