Stupid as!!

Just like those dumb bunnies at Hawthorn and those Melbourne duds Clarkson, Viney, Fagan and Evans.

Moanaghan = no loss, because no payout; plenty of fish out there.

Clarkson; blessed with above average support, with direction dictated by Dunstall & Co originally.

Viney; if he was worth something Hawthorn would have made an offer he could not refuse. Instead, he left for Adelaide. Never liked crap around here to get him back to Dees.

Fagan and Evans; who are they?

What a catch! Footy Op Manager of the worst performed club in the AFL over the past 2 years.

Whooa yeah. Tiges can have him. ;) They're building quite a team of admin losers.

Having met the bloke once in the rooms post-match I can honestly say, like quite a few no-named assistant coaches or auxiliary club personnel, he is consumed with his own false sense of self-importance and absolutely no loss to our organisation. Ta-ta you redundant minion.

I'll qualify what I wrote initially; it was beyond what I intended and frankly... tooooo many beeers for Diablo tonight.

What I will say is that there are plenty of people involved in football who let the fanfare of it all go to their heads. Blokes with no standing whatsoever in the game who think that, because AFL is massively renowned, by extension so are they. Enter Rosco Monaghan.

I don't know Ross, never met him, but I don't think Craig Cameron would have poached him if he was rubbish at his job.

Unless CAC himself is also rubbish at his job...

Or just thought it'd be nice to fill a vacant position with a guy he knows...

"Hey Rosco, what you up to? Hows things down at the dees? Oh yeah, the tiges are awesome mate, i'm having a ball. Look, there's actually a position popping up if you feel like a change... Yeah? You reckon? Oh sweet, I'd love to have you here. Look, I'll sort it out for you, don't worry. Yeah, we stay up late playing super mario kart like the old days! Nice one, ok. See you on the weekend. Later."

Not that Monaghan is a huge loss, but is anyone a little concerned about all the other clubs making coaching & admin announcements, yet we haven't heard boo out of Melbourne?

The usual end of season coaching changes have been happenning, Campbell, Harvey, Burns, Nigel Lappin, Barker, Mitchell to name a few have either changed clubs or taken up roles after retiring, yet nothing from us. I would like to think that we'd have been considering our options for midfield or forward coaches. Even if all our coaches are contracted, doesn't mean we can look at adding a development coach in a part time role like Robert Harvey.

And does anyone know anything about Ox coming back to the club? We could do a lot worse then getting a part-time forward coach at the 2nd highest scoring club this year

We already have a fair few assistants/development coaches IIRC.

In case you hadn't noticed, we're not exactly flush with money :P

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
