Dees interested in Mckinley..

Demons are understood to of shown some interest in the last few days..

Along with Bombers, Blues and Pies..

Not quite tall enough IMO, so not a true KPP, but does have some good ability thats 4 sure!

Would cost us though, prob pick 17 and 19, or 1 and a decent player..

Likely to stay at eagles IMO though..

Things will also heat up in the Mundy race, with the Dees about to intensify their efforts this week..

Other players we are believed to have on our list are:

Jason Davenport, Beau Dowler, Tim Boyle, Brent Reilly, Ryan Murphy, Adam Thomson, Matt Rosa, Mitch Clarke.

According to some, we have a list of about 20+ players we want to inquire about..

Also, Watts understood to be a lock, regardless of Where Warnock ends up..

source?

please don't say bigfooty, speculation or your imagination

No mate, not big footy..

1 is Chris Jones, who told me about 3 of them, otheres are being bandied around by some agents..

Its just players we'd be interested in, nothing to get excited about atm :)

Great to see us being interested in players but getting them to agree to be traded here is another thing.

Mckinley would be a great pickup, wouldnt mind Boyle and Rosa either.

Watts being a lock is expected, as with all this hoop la about getting home sick in the AFL i know i would be sticking to home grown talent.

Rate the guy very highly..... Not a hope in hell that West Coast would let him go.... Believe he has already signed.....

Still seems unclear..

Should know by tomorrow..

Rosa, Mundy, Dowler, Boyle are the 1's I really like the sound of atm..

Its hard work 2 trade at all, but, if we could snare 1, id be happy..

i've always been interested in McKinley as well

well worth us chasing him more or as much as warnock- because we need a forward to be there with watts.

we have Miller- who is a CHF not a goal kicker, and Bate who leads up well. Sylvia im unsure where he plays best footy. and davey, woenna crumbers

Harsh Bails..

I think Boyle would fit in well..

Was playing good footy early on..

Good hands, awesome kick, would really be a good target IMO, and would not cost 2 much!

Dowler is a risk, but is the "type" we need, Thorp would be better, but no chance..

Nudge.

How come every year you bring up all these hyopothetical trades that you know the club are interested in?

I for one quite like your topics, because at the end of the football year it gives me something to think about.

However, for the past 3 years you have come on here and posted all these possible trades without ever providing a decent source.

I'm tipping his Favourite song is IMAGINE by John Lennon. ;)

Let Nudge use his imagination.

Fwiw I like the look of McKinley, but West Coast should move heaven and earth to keep him. Boyle could be available. I don't think the Hawks will want to stand in his way if he wants an opportunity elsewhere. It would be hard for him to crack into their current forward line.

FEI. f(for everyones information), there are lots of deals that dont happen, and that the general public never hear about because journos dont like posting them if they dont happen, cos they dont look good do they- which is why forums such as these a re good to use- i bet none of you would know that we were THIS close to trading pick 4 last year for daniel wells.

cameron wanted it, the only person not wanting it from both parties was our CEO at the time.

i was defending nudge there- and also because he told us a day before the article that adam thomson was leaving port, and we were interested..and then it got published in the paper the next day.. so he aint all [censored]

True that ... unless you have a desperate journalist reporting rumours he finds on messageboards.

But yeah, at least he throws some interesting situations out there to think about, as opposed to the more ridiculous trades that are thrown out by people like myself.

I still think Green will end up at the doggies though

Thats exactly what i try and tell ppl, but they dont listen!

Trades are very hard to pull off!!

Heaps get mentioned, i just mention a select few that I hear..

Sources?? come on mate, think about it, i cant go name dropping! that wont ever happen!

Unless I hear things from a journo i know doesnt mind me mentioning!!

Harris didnt want the Wells deal for PR reasons!

It turned out lucky..

FYI, there was 2 other potentially big deals close alst year with us, but again, they fell over!

People forget these are deals often hanging together like spider webs...all reliant upon this bloke or that bloke doing this or that..as long as some other bloke agrees..and on it goes.. These are big career decisions for these fellas.. A lot of heart wrenching, second thoughts..disappointment etc

Like a house of cards ..often when one deal goes south...half a dozen follow suit and then it depends if enough time is available to string a last minute effort together.

All tenuous stuff..built upon gosamer !!

Melbourne ought to be in the thick of it this year...with our selections...our needs and everyone edgy about the ability to stockpile kids for the future as result of GC. But as Nudge suggest..for every deal that might happen...probably 10 that dont !! :o

Dont usually agree you bb, but - I do agree with you 100%. As I have said on here before; dont count on anything until the contract has been recieved by the afl.

If people only realized that its guys careers that we are dealing with, they are not pawns.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
