1.Brock

2.Bruce (just behind)

3.Green (just behind)

Would you think Miller has had a better year than Jones or Wheatley? I know its your opinion, but I consider Jones has had greater influence than Miller.

1. McLean.

2. Green

3. Bruce

4. Jones

5. Raffle it.

Smokie to move up the ranks and surprise......Garland if fitness and form holds.

Mine are:

1. Brad Green

2. Cameron Bruce

3. Brock McLean

4. James McDonald

5. Paul Wheatley

6. Nathan Jones

1. Brock McLean (The barometer)

2. Bradford Green (Had him as trade bait in March, now I have naught but respect for his attitude and how he plays his football)

3. Nathan Jones (Some very good games, and some poor ones)

4. Paul Wheatley (has got stacks of the ball, and if Junior's two victories are anything to go by, quality of ball use is not necessarily a factor)

5. Cam Bruce (been inconspicuous, but consistent)

Garland a lay-down misere to win most-improved player.

Wonna a slightly less horizontal misere to be the best first year player. Morton looms as his main opposition in that regard, though he'll need to get back into the team.

mine is:

1. Brock McLean (a fair way ahead)

2. Paul Wheatley (like it or not, has had a great year)

3. Brad Green

4. Aussie

5. Raffle!!!!

In my unofficial B+F (based on a similar system to Bluey) the top 5 is something like

1. Green (has been leader all year)

2. Bruce (yeah i was surprised too. as bad as some of his games have been, he's also played some beautys)

3. McLean (will prob overtake Bruce and maybe even Green)

4. Jones

5. Wheatley

Bate is sneaking up, while Moloney and Davey would probably be up there if it weren't for injuries.

For those of you playing at home, Jamar is currently sitting on 10 votes, double his tally from the last 2 years.

Like your thought process, I'm now leaning towards dropping out Macca and putting in Wheats, he has played well this season. One of his better years - and I totally agree when you say quality of ball use is not necessarily a factor!

Deeoldfart, You have Wheatley in second! For him to be in second, gee we have struggled as a side. Then daylight fourth? What about Cam Bruce>?

1: Green (has been our most consistent player and would have polled in every game)

2: McLean (whilst perhaps being our best performed player still yet has been extremely quiet on 2 or more occasions)

3: Davey ( has played some very good games i.e. Freo and North where I would expect him to take out full votes)

4: Miller( has been solid)

5: Dunn( Bailey will reward this kid with alot of votes)

Most Improved: Colin Garland

Best First Year Player: Aussie

Most Corageous: Brad Green(never would have picked that 5 years ago)

Best Team Player: Ben Holland

Most Dissapointing: Jeff White or Michael Newton

Sorry Neita 3000, I can't possibly fit Dunn into my top 5. Even Top 10! Michael newton has been injured, so thats a bit harsh. Agree with Garland.

Davey at 3 is a surprise, I would have Wonaemirri in front of him having kicked 19.3 compared to Davey's 9 goals this year.

Miller has been solid - correct. Green and McLean - I agree.

Not all season. He has been a real disappointment. Gets dropped from the AFL after an insipid display and then gets suspended and then injured.

With MFC struggling up forward, the world was Newton's oyster and he is languishing in Sandy 2nds. Here is the coaches report on him from last week:

Michael had nine possessions, but didn’t play as well as he did in his last two games, where he displayed a lot more energy and attacked the ball much harder. Having said that, he still competed hard on a wet and windy day, and presented well at the ball. Another positive to come out of Michael’s performance was his defensive pressure, which will continue to be a focus for him

As in past years he should be tearing the Sandy 2nds apart with his ability. He is not interested at all in football and it shows.

Huge disappointment by any measure.

Well, he was listed in the paper for some time with 3-4 weeks next to his name, thats a fair block of the season. The report was disapponiting, yes. Didn't he have an interrupted pre-season? If your behind the eight-ball in fitness it does tell on the body especially for a young KPP.

How old is he?

Wasn't he part of the same draft as Lynden Dunn and Matthew Bate?

He was cherry ripe round 1. We have had 13 rounds this year and he is in Sandy 2nds for the past 3 weeks with a poor report card for his past week. He played capably in the last 10 rounds of 2007.

Either you're his Mum or you have not got a clue about Newton. I cant fathom why you would then refer to another poster's valid assessment as harsh. Strange.

I think I'm allowed an opinion. So if I think someone's post is harsh, I have a right to an opinion, the same as you referring to someone's assessment as valid of which I can't fathom.

Yes he did play the last 10 rounds last season. And looked impressive. So I have got some clue. Whats to say he isn't carrying a niggling injury he can't shake. Don't forget it is only a poor report card for 1 week. He's past two games prior were considered positive.
