Apparently he is worth 1.8 Billion.

3.23 billion actually, has increased his worth by 1 billion in the last year alone . . .

Hope it's Gandel but doubt it . . .

Guy Jalland works for and is very close to the Murdoch's and Packers.

A long time ago both of these families were #1 ticket holders of Melbourne.

Think his inclusion on the board is pretty obvious.

Dad has been on this blokes back for ages to join the 150 club and to kick some of his sizeable fortune into the club. He has had other priorities in his life of late, and just didn't think that in the past they were on the right track. I guess guys like Stynes just have a certain knack at getting money from people who would not otherwise get involved.

Please..again I draw no conclusion and no aspersion meant ( probably none taken ..just in case :) ) just curious. That would indeed be a fair enough reason and, hey his money. All sounds good. Hope all this comes about. Curiosu whom it is. Still s'pose a little time will illumiminate :)

none taken. I would like to tell people,as would dad but seriously we can't and it will happen. Hopefully it is actually a first instalment as well.

To be honest I really doubt his name would mean much to most anyway. He is not what you would consider a household name for many.

This is a definite requisite and quite frankly an underachievement to date, with all thanks to Primus , Volvo etc..we just need more. Im interested in teh preseason membership initiatives. Hell i'm just interested to find out about it all.

absolutely BB! so far this is all positive and is a relief to see the names involved as thety are promising. Now the new 10 man Board installed without incident we all need to see the plan ASAP so everyone can get behind and support the club

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
