  1. Past hour
  2. I didn’t see this before I did my 'funny', post, @WalkingCivilWar. Sorry! So, lest I be 'lumped' for my ❤️, Ted, I hope my sad attempt was seen for what it was? 😬
  3. Any danger that these clowns could fund something themselves ? As far as I'm concerned the only appropriate use of government funding for Geelong would be to build a decent bypass around so none of us need to enter the bloody joint.
  4. While I find it bizarre that anyone would expect anything from a Captain's Run, which is nothing but a loosener-upperer, I was there and have taken it upon myself to fill in the blanks and offer some insight: - Salem nearly tripped over a sprinkler but didn't - I definitely saw Harry Petty (or was it Jed Adams?) chew his nails - the weather was nice That's a wrap!
  5. I added the ❤️, Picket, just so you could have the record for the most different emojis...
  6. Also coming off a very hot game which they disappointingly lost at the death. They will be feeling the pressure, whereas we will be feeling confident after our win against Geelong. This is another genuine 50/50 contest. Carlton have had the better of us the last two times we met, especially in and around the ball. I hope our mids rise to the occasion and have a really strong game against Carlton's formidable midfield, as there is no doubt that winning contest is their game plan.
  7. I’ll echo the sentiments of Jaded and add that no one should be complaining about the lack of training reports. No one who provides these reports gets paid or owes anybody anything. in any event this is a captains run which is a glorified kick to kick session. All we really need to know is who is out on the field or if it’s easier who is not.
  8. PF I enjoy your training reports and I hope you keep going and giving them to us! Just don't think it is fair for posters to have a go at WCW because she doesn't give the same reports and at a captain's run which is a pretty basic training session as I'm sure you know.
  9. They have played more matched than us in the same period. So hopefully.
  10. Yes she absolutely does, and all the time she gives back to the club and Demonland is done free of charge and in her spare time. This is up there with the complaint we had about the podcast. Just get on with your life if you don't like the FREE content you are being provided. Also @WalkingCivilWar has said many many times before that reporting on the ins and outs of training and specifics is not her forte, and that she is there to provide some light hearted commentary and any inside intel she may get from the players. Last week she told us Bowser will play against Carlton, which was a scoop, and turned out to be spot on. Why people are now complaining about the content of her training reports, is beyond me. I love a detailed training report as much as the next person, but equally I love the insights and funny anecdotes that we get as well. There is room for both.
  11. I made it very clear sometime ago that I and many others require solid training reports by early afternoon. So please stop complaining about us complaining.
  12. I think you'll find Webber that crook is a legitimate medical term. I'm surprised you don't know this, given your profession.
  13. Well, reading between the lines Melk and Salo are working their way back solidly and getting closer every week. Goal kicking practice remains a focus The 5 day break is being especially considered with the short and light run Confirmed Bowey is playing (which you actually scooped last week) No injuries or obvious niggles otherwise I assume you would have mentioned it. It was a fine report. Thanks.
  14. Do we have any idea who was there or who was not there ? thanks
  15. Great podcast. I haven’t got all the way through, but was great to hear @binman acknowledge the lack of stoppages. The second quarter was crazy with no stoppage for the first 15 mins or so, but even over the entire game there were only 33 stoppages compared to a normal games 50-60 and some games being up to 70 (65 in our final v Collingwood). There was a lot of high speed running (both teams over 45km which is huge). As binman said Goody tactically outcoached Scott. Beside the style out of our defensive 50 to make them run, but we also did not bomb it inside 50 and tried really hard to make sure we retained that inside 50 kick. I’ve been waiting for us to do this forever so it was great to see and I hope we keep it up. Makes for far less stoppages, and in my view helps us exploit a strength which is our running and fitness. Keep up the great podcasts.
  16. I must say I thought it was said in a light hearted way, given that it seems there was very little training anyway.
  17. My thoughts are that the Blues will tire more than the Demons. You’ve had a gruelling 4 matches and you’ll be doing well not to be a tad physically and emotionally spent. I think that’s the opposite of what many feel is our 5 day break disadvantage.
  18. Probably a lighter than regular Captain’s Run. The came out in training gear, ran a little, kicked a few footballs and probably tried to avoid WCW on the way back to AAMI. Close enough?
  19. whinging and being aggrieved (even proxy aggrievement) is fast becoming oz's favourite pastime keep up the good work, wcw
  20. As one who prides himself on some pretty astute reporting from Casey Fields, I find your and others comments somewhat disappointing! Have a look at myself?? Indeed!
  21. Not a fan of the ring idea, if you win multiple will you be required to wear them all to formal events. I think most will end up in a draw. Gee $50k each, they need to shop in the Middle East much cheaper... However, I think recognition medals or similar to the players that played during the season and help the team get there is important, as a whole club wins a premiership, not just those selected on the day.
