  1. Past hour
  2. I assume Woey will be playing Howes role or a HBF. Might find Hunter and Langdon start on the wings with Caleb as the sub? (He's faded out a little in recent weeks)
  3. Haven't watched all of Casey's games but Hunter's second half against Port was outstanding and he was very good against Carlton. Ahead of Woewodin for me.
  4. Probably the right changes tbh. Interested to see whether Petty or JVR does theback up ruck duties
  5. Most of the changes look spot on to me. Not Hunter though. I have watched a few Casey games and don't see how they have picked him on that form. AMW is possible, but he looks more like a good VFL player in form, rather than an AFL ready player but that can be hard to read at times. I really hope Woewodin gets a full game. Looks steady and able to cope with speed and pressure at AFL level. If we have to play Hunter, let him be the sub.
  6. Yep. It’s been our gameplan from 2021-2023. In 2021 we didn’t get a lot of repeat entries as it was probably a surprise to every other team how we kicked the ball inside 50 (as we flipped 100% from 2020). Result of surprise was we were ranked #1 at shots per inside 50 in 2021 at over 50%. In 2022 we dropped to #9, in 2023 to #14. Predictability is the enemy of an attacking gameplan, as there is so much data, stats, dissection of opposition etc It’s the new definition insanity. Ie Insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting the same result.
  7. On the contrary, he'll be relieved I think
  8. Like the changes, Taj will get his chance he is ready to go.!!
  9. Stability is the key, we don't need panic merchants. We need balls of steel from top to bottom to guide us to where we need to be.
  10. Apparently has decent pace and turns in some pretty good 2km times for Sandy.
  11. No offence, but I don’t need to.
  12. I don't know, but I assume so. The dogs really should have won, swans had stopped to a walk. Though to be fair the dogs had injuries. That last quarter looked like a dees game with all the misses. That 50 was a shocker.
  13. It's not one result. It's the West Coast game, Carlton game, Brisbane game, the Port game, the Swans game..... The Carlton game encapsulated all that is wrong with us. Goody goes out to play 'our style' when it is clear the other teams have worked Carlton out. Stop Cripps and Walsh. He doesn't appear to me to adjust his game plan to the team we are playing. He makes the occasional match up change but not so much game plan.
  14. Brutal call to drop Billings for the game against the Saints. Imagine he would be devastated not to play against his old side.
  15. Getting beaten in a one on one is forgiveable. Giving up on the chase is not. Message sent.
  16. But I bet they’ll go the other way. Woey deserves his spot in the team now. Find myself trusting him more with ball in hand than some other players I should be trusting. Good to see some poise.
  17. I presume expected score was in the Dogs favour?
  18. The Howes blunder with Reid (whilst understandable given Reid's talent) was extremely poor defending. There would have been a few other contests that I can't recall but where the selection committee decided he needs a freshening up
  19. Today
  20. I like the changes, team balance looks much better. Hope Woey starts and hunter is sub, Woey deserves the chance to lockdown a spot.
  21. Final ins: van Rooyen, Hunter, Langdon, Tomlinson Outs: Lever (inj), Howes, Billings, Brown (all omitted)
  22. Surprised Hunter is in based on the feedback from those who watched the last Casey game. I like Howes and I think he’ll be back soon enough but he wasn’t in form so it isn’t wholly a surprise Really want to see Woewodin get a full game but I’m expecting he’ll be sub again.
  23. Maybe he is there and you just can't see him...he's such a chameleon
  24. Moniz Wakefield has been a mile ahead of Hunter in the last few Casey games.
  25. I hope so! I'd be OK with this. I thought Billings has been alright (one of the only ones to lower the eyes and occasionally showed his class - but some very sloppy disposals at times, although not alone here and poor goalkicking), but maybe a stint in the 2s to find a little confidence and some form in front of goals wouldn't hurt.
  26. Didn't see the Howes move happening, and thought Billings was 50/50 but figured he was safe as Hunter has not been setting the world on fire at Casey. Three omissions is a fair few, and definitely more than normal, as much as the loss to WCE was disappointing. Will be interesting to see how the changes play out. Bummed for Taj, he has been good.
