No doubt that team was on drugs too.  Just look who their skipper was.

We've beaten them heaps of times since then...

Probably the only club that hasn't "had the wood" over us over the past decade.

If anything, those assaults highlighted how flaky we were.

Why didn't Ox or Neita fly the flag? How would have Simmo or Greeny would have felt after being left out to dry?

Some on here STILL condemn Hawthorn for refusing to get bashed up by Essendon during the Line in the Sand game. How dare they not stand by while 1st year teammates get poleaxed and intimidated? It's not like it did them any good. They got smashed in that game I got told...:pj:

A couple of them was before the game even started. Long's was one of the most cowardly acts I've ever seen on a football field.

We just spanked them on their own turf in front of their own smug supporters - why the hell are we reminiscing about the 2000 Grand Final?

Because this is one of the reasons why today felt so good.

Schwarz did fly the flag. He body slammed Hird. It was one of the more memorable things to occur that day. Maybe he knew something that was going to happen 13 years later!

he was a lone hand.

We should have gone bananas right there and then but we didn't have the ticker.

We had nothing to lose, they were undefeated.

More embarrassing than '88.

I remember Wallis and Long, but what did Solomon do?  He was a kid in 2000...
