Trying not to post until I calm down, but failed: AFL is a largely winter game - don't effing turn up to a game in wet whether and (attempt to play) play summer footy. When in doubt, composure's out We spoiled each other more than Hawthorn Dumb footy followed by dumb footy. I think all defenders should go for the mark/spoil 20 meters in front of the Hawks goal - it's working really well. Panic Panic Panic Hawks read Gawn's taps better than us Clarkson - Just do X, Y & Z and watch them crumble - Dimma says thanks! NB - Fortunately I've deleted plenty of comments on players.

Yes, makes sense and I'm hoping he's in, but it wouldn't blow me away if he isn't.

On the extended bench so not necessarily

I think we'll do alright if there aren't any Kent Kingsley Award winners like Tim O'Brien
-
Yes and maybe it's just me, but I thought his first half was horrible. His second half was much improved.

Dude, all the links on Demonland to the Hun work. Not a subscriber either.

There was also no two way running with Kent. One thing his shoulder reco did, was enable him to get a whole lot fitter. Agree with everything else -

I don't think Frost will play on Brown, unless as relief ruck. O Mac will get Brown. -
Match preview and team selection - Round 3

I think the selections are based on the need for speed. Hunt out of form and / or injured so Frost in to provide more speed. Same with Kent. North are a very quick side . We'll still be slower but Frost and Kent help. Did any training watchers see who did some ruck work, like Frost? I wouldn't be blown away if Petracca filled the gap. While Pedo wasn't as good as Round 1, I have no problem with his lace out passes to Hogan last week resulting in 2 goals -

Random opinions with the odd fact: I had the misfortune to see a little of the norf-saints joke of a game and only saw Waite in the backline. I think there's logic in bringing Frost in to free up Lever but not if Waite sits in their backline. While Bugg brings a lot of pressure to the forward line, he brings nothing else and I couldn't stand to see him kick more points when a lot of hard work has given him an easy shot at goal. We also beat North in last years JLT which stood for exactly naught so I wouldn't be trotting out the same formula. I agree with others that if Vince isn't tagging, I cant see him and Lewis (ordinary) in the backline and don't want to either. So either Vince gets Higgins or Ziebell (not in great form) or one of them gets a week off for being an old man - cant see it. Hannan tore it up at Casey. I want Salem to be given time to grow into his role way to much skill and execution. Out - Hunt (inj) Bugg In - Brayshaw or Frost (depending on height requirements) and Hannan PS - not remotely excited by ANB's form in terms of decision making and execution. Would be happy to have him as another out for say Brayshaw.

I don't think we'll see Bugg winning the game off his wayward boot anytime soon. I love his pressure and run but he really doesn't offer much else.

I caught the last bit of the game. Silly me thought the only game on Good Friday would be prime time. Of course it's a graveyard shi(f)t twilight game. Both absolutely rubbish teams. I'd like to think we don't take them lightly yet again, nor that we underestimate the tactical nous of Brad Scott yet again

It wasn't Heeney -
I had the same info from Geelong knobs (admittedly it was Sunday) that Ablett in and Danger out
-
When Gil said it's inevitable, he meant 'it's inevitable that we cave into the media and hold the GF at night' Leave it tf alone
-
I'd like to see Balic. So if ANB is out, that would work well, but I assume the squads will be reduced.
-
I'm hoping it's because he's back in full training. Can anyone confirm?

Crazy things you’ve done as a Demons supporter
Roger Mellie replied to Cassiew's topic in Melbourne Demons
My sister, in her early teens, declared she was no longer barracking for Melbourne and had decided Carlton were the team for her. My father's response was 'Where are you going to live?' She wasn't that happy when I packed a suitcase for her. * Not a crazy act as such although her response was. -
I thought he'd knocked back a leadership role(s) in the past, but not 100% sure.

Agree 100%. Great strip that brings with it a spasmodic shudder. This would have been a perfect option for the clash strip poll @Demonland
